So I was only supposed to pick up a device I ordered directly from Verizon, a home Internet box .
When I picked it up, the salesperson, Noah, said he was going to upgrade my device to a better one. He said it would only take a few minutes, which should have been a clue. I had only accounted for a pickup and waiting for a new device put me behind schedule. After about 20 minutes, I was ready to go. When I got home to install the device it didn't want to connect to my app, so I set it aside and assumed it needed time.
Days later I was able to set it up. Everything worked fine until I received my bill. I was double charged on everything. So I call Verizon and after about 45 minutes and 2 agents, we deduced that the first device was never taken off my account. It was showing as on and I explained that the place swapped me out and I was only using one device. They thought they had fixed everything, made some credits and left notes that I only had one device. Well, I kept getting emails about the first device so I called the store. The store manager Marissa called me back, assured me I would be ok, and then called Verizon with me on the phone and explained what happened, even though I had already done that. So in retrospect, nothing was done.
A few days ago I get another email from Verizon that says if I don't return the first device I will be charged $300. I decide to go back into the store. The sales associate remembered the scenario and he looks up the IMEI of the first device. That device has already been resold. I ask him if he can tell Verizon so I can be in the clear. He calls Marissa, he calls Verizon and I wait even longer for this to be resolved. After about 50 mins, he tells me if I would like to leave he will make sure to get it taken care of, see if Verizon can credit me for the inconvenience, And he will call me back.
It's been 2 days and I haven't heard back . I am dissatisfied with how they have handled it. And it somewhat seems like Noah needed to show more sales, so rather than allow me to pickup, he put my account in for a new sale. Very shady. Especially if they aren't going to make sure my account wasn't going to be affected.
This store may be ok for new sales, but I absolutely would not use them as an in store pickup.
