Think you all need to do some internal investigating into this location. My friend recieved a call from this location saying 2 phones were trying to be purchased on her account. She was told her account was being placed on restrictions due to fraud. I told her something felt off and hung up. We called verizon back and no such remarks were made on the account. Something is shady.

This version store in Kearny, NJ is very unorganized. The staff doesn’t seem to communicate well, and the wait times are way too long even with an appointment. Definitely needs better management and efficiency.

Warning: Save your time and money and stay away from this place.
This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service provider.
I’ve always been an Optimum customer in Newark without issues, but after opening my business in Kearny (where this company basically monopolizes the market), I had no choice but to sign up here — and it was the worst decision ever.
I was never informed that this retailer is not authorized to open business accounts. The transaction was done over the phone inside the store, and I only asked for simple internet service and a landline. I was quoted an estimated monthly bill of under $180. My first bill came in at $250, and the estimate for the following month jumped to $305.
When I went back to the store, I was told not to worry — that it was just an installation fee and the bill would go down to the original estimate. That never happened. The bill never matched the price I was promised.
On top of that, the Verizon app does not work at all for my account. Every time I went to the store for help, I was told to call customer service, only to get transferred over and over again with no resolution. Eventually, someone informed me that there was an extra phone line added to my account — something I never requested.
When I tried to terminate the service, I was told there would be an early termination fee of over $1,000. To make matters worse, customer service blamed me, saying it was my fault for not reviewing the email they had sent.
This has been nothing but a nightmare from start to finish. Be warned: avoid this place at all costs.
Update
After several frustrating attempts to resolve ongoing issues with my Verizon account, I was left with no choice but to terminate my service. Despite numerous calls and speaking with multiple representatives, my concerns were never properly addressed.
Over the past several months, I was charged for additional phone lines and unexplained fees that I never authorized. Instead of resolving these billing discrepancies, Verizon continued to bill me incorrectly.
Now, after being overcharged and repeatedly dismissed, I am being told I still owe an early termination fee. To make matters worse, I was refused access to a corporate contact number to file a formal complaint.
I am requesting that Verizon review my account, remove the improper charges and termination fee, and provide an appropriate resolution for this ongoing issue.
