    Horrible experience at Bestbuy Jersey City. I have always gone into Bestbuy to support the local stores but I was extremely disappointed by my experience at the Jersey City location especially by the supervisor Armando. I have bought iMacs, iPads, multiple Macbooks, and several other products for years at Bestbuy including paying an annual membership for their Geek Squad services. I came to this store to exchange my Zagg Shield that Bestbuy advertises if you buy with them you can exchange unlimited shields. My last time using this service was in 2024 in the Secaucus location. Based on my receipt the associate in Secaucus messed up and didn’t properly ring me out not adding the repurchase of the shield. This was acknowledged by 3 associates in the Jersey City store including the supervisor Armando.. Due to their mistake not only would he not exchange but the associate asked me to take off my shield for the exchange so now I am walking around with no protection. Armando’s solution was to buy the shield full price then drive to Secaucus explain to them what happened so I can “try” and get a refund which would put me right back at the place I was today.. The real problem here is Armando’s nasty attitude.. he is the supervisor but has no customer service skills. It is the principle of the situation that everyone acknowledged including Armando that Bestbuy made the mistake but instead of taking ownership Armando wanted to send me on a wild goose chase for $24.99 Zagg shield. This is a reason why I had chosen not to renew my membership for Geek Squad that renews in March because there is no reason to pay for something annually go to the store if you get better service and prices for things online.. Please do better Bestbuy before you end up like Circuit City or Radio Shack closing your doors because people would rather deal with AI or Amazon than the nasty attitudes of supervisors that can’t handle problems or find solutions.

    Waited for half an hour to buy an expensive product and nobody was helping me even though I talked to multiple staff. Seems like they aren’t willing to leave their area even though they have no customers to help. Unbelievable. Eventually the front desk people who are not actually sales person was able to help me. And no shipping bag given upon purchase and I had to carry the expensive piece of product out in the daylight. I would advise shop at a different Best Buy location if you can.
