Went in to purchase a new phone they had in stock, dealt with sales rep Juan who told me if I ordered it and had it shipped I could get some accessories as well and they could install them later. New phone arrived and I took the new in box phone with the accessories to the store where they were very rude with me. I asked to install a screen protector and to activate the phone and was very aggressively told by Juan the same guy I just gave a $1000.00 sale to that they cant install it because it was not an iphone or samsung and they did not do activation I needed to call customer support. I then learned there was no sim card because they did not send it with the devise which is why I was told to go to the store. In total it took almost 3 weeks and almost 15 hours on the phone to get the new phone activated. Very disappointed with Verizon over this. After the store/Juan made their commission they wanted nothing to do with me. That is not how customer support is supposed to be. Verizon corp needs to do a better job with employees and if there is a store manager they also need to do better because I am sure this is not the first time they treated a customer this way. I was seriously after over 15 years of service switching carriers thanks to Juan in the Tilton road Northfield NJ Verizon location.

I thought Xfinity had the worst customer service but today Verizon won first place. The people working there just don’t care at all. From entering the door the first thing I saw was two people furious waiting for the problems to be solved and ended up solving nothing. As for me I couldn't even get somebody to help me. They asked for my name, number and issue but that I was it. Had me waiting for almost an hour. Took care of the rest of the people but ignored me completely

My grandmother and I shared a phone plan with Verizon. They had indicated that they'd be removing our Loyalty discount at the beginning of this month, despite my grandmother having been a customer of ~30 years. We switched to T Mobile as their identical plan is also about ~$60/mo cheaper overall and no Verizon plan can compete. My grandmother is 87 and so I've done the best as I can as a non-account holder to help her out, but I don't live in the same state so don't often get to be in the store with her when she does this as she is the primary account holder.
She went into the Verizon store to hand back in her equipment and apparently was told there that they could not help her and sent her away with the wifi device despite the fact that we have cancelled service. They told her to call Verizon instead of handling anything in the store.
I'm a little upset - the fact that they would turn away an 87 year old who clearly has no idea at all how to navigate the intricacies of modifying service with a telecom company without so much as remotely offering to help is disheartening to say the least.
I understand the paradox in asking for help in-store with severing our service, but customer service is not really something that is supposed to discriminate based on what it is we're trying to accomplish, whether it's signing up or leaving. After 30 years with Verizon, it's kind of tough to see that treatment.

Lisa has been with Verizon for 32yrs, and took it upon herself to discriminate against me. I went after work (hot mess) to purchase a phone. Everything was fine until she kept saying Verizon expensive, so who cares. She has no idea my life. I just got off work and don’t fit the normal. She needs retrained on personal skills and how NOT to judge.
Very sad Verizon has become nothing but a disappointment lately, so sad
