  I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Slade and the team at Edgebrook Animal Hospital. During COVID, when one of my cats became seriously ill, my longtime vet of over 20 years refused to see us. I was scared and didn’t know where to turn. I called Edgebrook since I knew of them from being in animal rescue, and they immediately stepped in and got us in without hesitation. My cat ended up needing surgery, and the care we received was exceptional. Over time, we eventually transferred all of our animals to Dr. Slade’s care and that says a lot. I have multiple dogs and cats, and I’m very particular when it comes to their care. I don’t settle and I only want the best for them. Dr. Slade is thorough, knowledgeable, and truly listens. He doesn’t brush off concerns - he takes the time to answer every question and works with you to come up with a clear plan. I also really appreciate that he gives options, which helps you make the best decision for your pet and your situation. Like any veterinary practice, costs can add up, but in my experience they are in line with other vets in the area. Some things may be a little higher (xrays) and others lower, but overall it balances out. The veterinary technicians deserve just as much recognition. They are kind, patient, and incredibly careful with every animal. I have some special needs pets and am very particular about how they are handled, and the team truly listens when you explain what works best. Even when my pets need to be taken to the back, they come back calm and comfortable which says everything about how they are treated when they’re out of sight. The staff overall is just as wonderful - kind, accommodating, and genuinely caring from the moment you walk in. You can tell right away that your pets matter to them, and that kind of reassurance means everything. What stands out the most is that when you need them the most, they are there. There’s no runaround or delays, they get you in and take care of your pet. They’ve been there for me not only in the routine moments, but also in the hardest ones. Every time, they’ve shown compassion, kindness, and understanding. Dr. Slade and his team are truly something special, and I’m beyond grateful to have found them.

  The staff at this animal hospital were incredibly kind and professional. They were very timely with our appointment and took the time to clearly explain everything, which made the whole experience much less stressful. I really appreciated how transparent they were about the process and care for my pet. Highly recommend!
