When I walked in, there were several employees helping customers, but absolutely no one greeted me or acknowledged that I had entered. I waited patiently near the front for about 10 minutes, expecting someone to check me in or at least say hello. During that time, multiple other customers walked in, and the same thing happened to them, no greeting, no direction. After 15 minutes, I noticed employees finishing up with one customer only to immediately move on to new people who had just walked in, while I and others who had been waiting longer were completely overlooked. Twenty-plus minutes later, yet another family entered and was greeted right away. At that point, I realized no one had any idea who arrived first or how long we’d been waiting, because there’s no system or greeter at the door. After standing there for about 25 minutes with zero acknowledgment, I simply walked out. While the employees share some responsibility for not noticing waiting customers, this issue really stems from Verizon’s store design and lack of structure. There’s no front-desk system, no greeter, and no clear way for customers to be checked in, which leads to frustration and people being skipped over. Verizon should seriously reconsider how their stores operate adding a simple check-in station or designated greeter would fix a lot of this. Customers shouldn’t feel invisible the moment they walk in.
