- NMNick MooreJan 5, 20262.0Called geek squad customer service ask about reinstalling os system for a older mac they said yes a gave appointment for same day which was great. Bad went there a the one guy didnt even look at it amd saidthe hard drive was bad. Took it back home and after 30 min with software i got from a friend was able to fix. Even when i ask them just to try and download software they said no. Only reason not give 1 star when i called geek squad customer service they where some what help.

Negatives: - If you have an appointment near closing time, they don't have the time or willingness to fully help you. - They encourage you to buy new devices instead of fixing the ones that you currently have. I made an appointment using the Apple Support app because it said that they're a verified Apple retailer. I brought my laptop there, and they took me at my appointment time, but the person behind the desk had no context as to why I was there. They brought my laptop to the back and came back out 5 minutes later asking me for my password. They came back out 5-10 minutes later telling me that they couldn't run the diagnostics. They told me the price for the part repair (~$275) and that I'd be better off using it to buy a new MacBook instead (~$1,500 for a comparable model). Even if I chose to get the repair, they couldn't check me in because they were already closing. I ended up taking my laptop to the actual Apple Store and they were able to do the diagnostics, explain everything to me, and ease my mind.
