- JVJustin VickeryAug 26, 20255.0All I needed from This hospital was a rabies vaccination to keep my cat up to date. They were absolutely incredible. In the past I've used vetco and honestly they are a lot more inconvenient with an hour and 10 minute round trip and up to an hour in the location waiting for me to be called. VCA was 26 minutes round trip, 15 in the appointment, wonderful! This is really inconvenient because my cat is a notoriously worrisome traveler, and normally the trip ends with him redecorating the carrier coming from all three ends. The VCA is only 13 minutes away from my door and a full Veterinary service. I have been very lucky with this cat, he is extremely healthy and has almost never needed a vet visit and is well taken care of anyways. I am a new business owner and I love my cat and will do what I need to do for him, but I also need to keep the budget in mind as I'm in the beginning stages of business. I expressed this concern to them but also noted that I wanted to do what was best for my cat. Because of the proximity to my home he only puked a little bit but barely made a mess and the technicians there cleaned both him and the crate up. Due to his gentle nature and his lack of interaction with any other animals they suggested to skip the distemper as he has never bitten someone and has no history of any violent behavior. I feel like they really kept my cat's best interests in mind while also considering my budgetary concerns. They were personable, friendly, and did exactly what needed to be done while educating me and informing me on why they think the course of action is the best. This is the most pleasant vet experience I've ever had and will be back should I ever need them!
