This is the 3rd time I’ve been here, first time was quick and easy for my pitbull who had his ear torn by another dog. Second time I waited for over 5 hours and still was not seen and my beagles mouth was completely swollen and couldn’t eat or drink anything, we left and went somewhere else. I came here this last time for one of my other dogs who’s nail was completely embedded into her pad of her foot and it was swollen and possible infection, here for over three hours and no communication but see people walking in with no appointment like I had and was in and out before I have been seen. Dogs coming in with an upset stomach to have the dog seen and taken care of before I had been talked to at all. What’s the point of an emergency vet if you have to sit here for hours on end. I am very unhappy with these emergency vets that refuse to see or do anything for these animals.

Idk I have mixed feelings My 1 year old cat got into lily pollen which in my eyes is critical since it could be fatal… but I was told they have more critical patients and I had to wait for 3 hours. They did get her in she was hospitalized for 2 days. Everyone seemed really nice, they kept me updated and let me visit her. I felt the price was reasonable. 2,400. I finally got to take her home.. when I get home I then realize she is covered in poop. If you decide to put a cone on an animal especially a medium/long haired you should make sure their bottom is clean especially since she can’t clean herself. I immediately had to give her bath. I just feel that is unacceptable and that it’s neglect.

If I could give zero stars- I would. We paid $3,000 for my dog to be seen and taken care of. Which she was- then they send her medication in which they NEVER gave directions on even after asking if we needed to know anything- so my dog proceeds to get sick. and OF COURSE they won't see her again without another fee; even though its THEIR fault. Do not recommend using them. Its all about the money; even if they make a mistake. Beyond frustrated dealing with this place.

Although the outcome wasn't what we had hoped, Caves did all that they could to help our sweet girl. Within minutes of arrival the team whisked her away for an xray and recommended emergency surgery to save her & despite valiant effort, it could not be done. Dr Adams was kind and knowledgeable, the entire team was lovely throughout this horrific experience. Her team prioritized our dog's comfort and ensured she was not suffering from pain. They let us see our girl before surgery, and gave us all the time we needed before she was euthanized. Thank you CAVES for your kindness and care. 🐾Pinto 2020-2026

Well no one likes going to the emergency vet, but if you have to go, this is the place! Our pup suffered an injury to his paw and no vet in our town was available so we made the hour plus drive to VCA Cave. Dr. Martin took excellent care of our four legged kiddo. The shinning star of our experience was Lexi Y, the vet tech. Amazing customer service from start to finish. Truly a professional who should be teaching others how to deliver such exceptional customer service that is caring and compassionate. I can't forget the front staff who are excellent from start to finish as well. Thank you for taking care of our pup and by extension us. We appreciate everything you all did.
