I’ve been a Verizon customer for many years. This location used to be the only I would go to. I have now been to multiple across town and in other states I’ve lived in and I can say with confidence that the Wright Plaza location is the worst and most abysmal Verizon location I could ever even imagine. The staff is angry, depressive and complacent. They are entitled and nasty toward customers. Two times over the last 2 months I was lied to bold faced in this store. When I got corporate involved on the phone they verified both times that the way this location handled my purchases were completely incorrect and that the staff completely negated their training. I have never experienced such rude “customer service” individuals in my life. I worked with a female assistant manager recently who not only turned her back and walked away from me when I was having an issue, but she proceeded to laugh about my issue with other staff members while scrolling through her personal phone and bragging about her new apartment on the 10th floor while those staff members were supposed to be serving customers.
This location should undergo a full audit and review by Verizon corporate. The folks that handle matters over the phone on the 1-800 number are so kind, patient, and helpful. I feel bad that the corporate staff has to spend time fixing the mistakes of this location. It’s embarrassing.
I was even told by a young lady employee recently when purchasing a brand new Apple Watch that the sale of watch didn’t “matter much” to her unless I was buying a new phone as well because she “hardly makes anything on a little watch”. She then proceeded to push me in buying a brand new iPhone… for my 9 year old. I told her that there was no way I needed to consider a phone for him for a couple more years and she said “well there is no way I’ll still be working here in a couple of years”. (Name started with Al).
After purchasing the brand new Apple Watch and agreeing to the $200 trade in value on the old one. I was told “oh your trade in just dropped to $0 dollars” after they checked the unbroken pre inspected trade in “into their inventory”. So they took my trade in to the back room, came back and told me they weren’t going to give the the trade value. I asked why and they said “well sometimes that just happens. Call corporate”. I then said I would like my device back if they are going to go back on the trade in offer. The female assistant manager then told me I CAN’T have it back because it’s a trade in and it’s already “in their inventory”. I said how can something be a trade when I give you something and you give me nothing/$0? I told her that is the same as theft and trickery. She then turned her back, walked away and told me to deal with corporate. The corporate rep was absolutely floored that it was handled that way after it being the fault of the store. (Name started with Ch)
Another female staff out loud in front of the whole room of customers said to her coworkers, “just so everyone knows, I’m preemptively going to be sick tomorrow so I don’t have to come back in here.”
A couple months ago I was in this location purchasing a new line and new phone for my daughter when the iPhone 17 “on us” deal was going. I was told my account didn’t qualify for that promotion even though they rep could not tell me what was different about me from anyone else. He then proceeded to sell me an older model. I then spoke with corporate and went to a different store in town at L St Marketplace (the people are so nice there). They told me I 100% qualified for the newer phone and traded it right out for me. They got on the phone with corporate to make sure everything went through perfectly before I left the store. They also identified another area on my account where I was missing a discount I qualified for. So I walked out with an iPhone 17 pro for LESS on the new line than the other store had set me up with on an older model.
I will from here on personally avoid this location at all costs. I’ll drive as many miles as it takes to go to the next location.

Always long lines, not enough people work here to keep the demand. Except to wait a hr or two to be seen or a question answered.

I am writing this with absolute heartbreak and fury. If I could give zero stars, I would.
I went into this store to trade in my old phone for a new one. I explicitly relied on the representative to help me transfer my data, as that is part of the service they are supposed to provide. Instead of ensuring my data was safe, the employee factory reset my old phone before confirming that the backup was complete or that the transfer to the new device had finished.
In a split second, due to sheer incompetence and carelessness, I lost everything. Years of photos, text threads with loved ones that I can never get back, notes, and memories—all gone.
There was no apology that could fix this. They rushed the process and skipped the most critical step: checking that the customer's data is safe.
To anyone reading this: Do not let these people touch your phone until you have backed it up yourself at home. They are reckless, untrained, and do not care about your personal data. I walked in for a phone upgrade and walked out having lost priceless memories I can never replace. Avoid this store at all costs.
Update: This store has not answered the phone even after I called them 5 times.

Really, really, really poor service. Technician was uninformed. Manager was rude to both the technician and to us. She grabbed the tablet out of the technician's hand and mumbled, "They will need to call customer service." Couldn't get us out the door fast enough so they could lock the door 5 minutes before closing, even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing. Can't separate from Verizon fast enough.
