My mom(72yoa) had to go to a Verizon store per the Verizon Technical Support and this was the closest store(1 1/2hr drive). She got locked out of her phone and the employee said the only thing that could be done was a factory reset, so they did that know she was going to loose everything on her phone not knowing if google had backed the information up. Turns out the employee did not contact technical support to see if all options had been exhausted prior to resetting the phone. The employee did not help her reset up the phone and sent her to Best Buy to get help from the geek squad. She left the store without a working phone. Called the store manager the next day and he seemed understanding and was going to call her which he did, new phone was sent to her and the store manager said he would call the next day, surprisingly he did not follow up. I called the store to talk to him and a female employee answered, asked to talk to the manager and she kept asking why and I explained he is aware of the situation and it would be easier but kept insisting I tell her what the issue was, became very rude and argumentative. Store manager never called me or my mother. Terrible customer service and the first one to help my mother should be ashamed of himself for sending an elderly woman out the door without a working phone!!

So I went to get a new MiFi portable router. Simple right? I was next in the que and then they had a pizza and drinks delivered from Casey's directly in front of me. One by one, 3 out of 4 representatives left the room after finishing up with their customers and entered the locked back room. Never to be seen again. The 4th representative continued to help his customer while 6 other customers waited. I waited for over an hour and left the store. Even the door guy was missing in action.
The staff enjoyed a pizza party in the back room while we all waited. Even if I had nothing better to do, I still wouldn't have waited for those impotent employees to actually do their job. This was at 2pm on a Thursday, 1/29/26. Just in case someone in charge wants to know who ignored customers. But I did have better things to do. And I don't appreciate being ignored when I'm a paying customer.

If you are running into issues with your device being unusable, not receiving phone calls, texts or being screamed at by in laws for not being able to pick up her phone calls or her texts consistently, don't worry. Verizon will not help. They will blame your phone or or you. This is not unique to this Verizon store
A quick Google search shown to the employee who is claiming you must doing something wrong, and he's never seen this problem before will get you scowled at, because Google show that's not true and a common problem.
You will be told to go somewhere else when you return because your phone still doesn't work and you still do not get service consistently month after purchasing your phone. Your aps will not notify you that they need updated. You will be told to drive to the nearest Google store several states away to fix problems caused by Google ruining their phones with AI that keeps getting worse and their own carries service which rarely does what it needs to very long.
Too bad Google will tell you how common of a problem this is at Verizon and the way they are losing business due to similar issues as a company, and you can compare that data across multiple websites instantly at Verizon.
Thanks btw I love my $50+ brick with carrier aps that fight the aps that come with the phone and how regardless of model, I will most likely have to go without receiving voicemail or texts a majority of the time. I love missing out on job interviews, important things like family events, deaths, emergencies, appointments, and getting banned from Christmas thanks to not being able to use my phone as a phone since I bought it.
I should not need to set up and fix everything I pay for at Verizon so I will just not buy anything in the future and find ways to degoogle my own phone so it works. To be clear this carrier problem, these phones have the same an issue for multiple models from the carrier Verizon over the last couple of years. It is not just a Google problem, but the crappy updates for their AI people do not want is not helping.
But don't worry you will not be listened to long enough to be understood or figure out what needs addressed at this Verizon. Especially if it's multiple ongoing issues spanning months and you are forced to pay for what should be a phone.
I'm not surprised. I tried to leave my phone at the store because it has ruined my relationship with family members at this point. Thanks for getting me banned from Christmas due to a lack of communication, which causes miscommunication, and getting me screamed at by my mother in law until I had a panic attack guys! She has no idea what led up to her screaming at me because she can't get my texts ,but boy is she upset!
I have lost all income because no one can get ahold of me when they need to. I hate this company.
How do I get off this family plan with the woman who banned me from her home without paying more money I can't earn without selling my plasma or belongings because I can't get a phone interview like this? I quit months ago because that was the main complaint. I was unreachable.
Should I have my healthcare provider call you and verify that they can't get ahold of me, and your employee lied about all that or is your service so bad that you couldn't tell if call dropped or not? It's getting extremely difficult to tell if no one is trained at all, or if no one does anything but sell products that have conflicting aps and update until they don't work with the services. Or should I just start forwardimg my bills I didn't know I had and couldn't submit to insurance to Verizon instead?
I would trade my pixel in for a dumb phone anywhere else without pause of I could, and I will not use any service owned by Verizon whenever possible from now on.
I have learned my lesson and will not be buying smart phones at all or anything from Verizon in the future. I'm not coming in anymore either. It's not worth the gas or stress just go home and do enough research to fix it all myself because Verizon won't admit there's a problem.

Came in on the 21st of November to get my significant other a new phone because her old one was starting to show its age. Gentlemen with a cross tattoo on his neck helped us. I use the term helped lightly. He just told her that her questions were stupid and acted as if she was the biggest inconvenience in the world. He gave us an estimate on a a 17 pro max and we purchased what we thought was the correct phone. Found out he had given us a 17 pro I let him know there was a mistake as we wanted the pro max. Dude charged me a restocking fee(did not open the box or leave their store/property) said he returned my money for the taxes( still have not received a refund for any of this ). Ive have never had this many issues with a Verizon store as this.

Terrible experience at this location specifically, which is a bummer because Verizon is usually so good. I don't remember his name but the person who helped me had a cross tattoo on his neck and let me tell you all he was extremely condescending and overall rude. I asked a few questions and he answered in a tone as if I was wasting his time and even stated “You are not understanding anything I am saying”. I never review stuff, but the poor professionalism on this individual’s part convinced me to hop on here and vent. Heads up: If he has a cross tattoo on his neck and acts like a brat then DEFINITELY ask for someone else. Wish I could rate 0 stars!
