If I could give Best Buy a negative star I would rate them negative 5 stars. I called, and can not get past the electronic answering device, you can't even ask to just speak to a person. I needed some work done to an electronic device but I rather just go buy a new one from somewhere else. I'm tired of businesses using this automated answering service mess, humans were actually faster, just my experience out in the real world.

Working with the Geek Squad out of Jacksonville was a nightmare. First of all, the automated gauntlet you must navigate before talking to a person is exhausting. Once on the phone, scheduling services was friendly and easy. It was an entirely different story when the team arrived to install my TV.
I was very clear in what I asked for during scheduling, and the person on the phone assured me they were adding all necessary items to the ticket to get what I needed for this request. When the team called before arrival, again I was very specific with what I was asking for. Once the team arrived, they immediately tried to sell me a wireless HDMI transmitter (admitting I would lose resolution) along with telling me the items on the ticket are the wrong items anyway, and that my mount wouldn't even work. Then they proceeded to tell me that they have been "doing this for 20 years" and my request was impossible. They did offer to do half the job which was when I told them to pack up and go home.
Once again, I had to run the automated gauntlet just to get my refund. I immediately called a local TV install company who came out the next day and told me what I was asking for was doable and it sounded like Geek Squad just didn't want to do the work. Once the new installer came back for the job they took an afternoon to complete it. I got exactly what I was looking for, with the mount geek squad told me wouldnt work and the additional in wall line that they said was impossible in their 20years of experience. AND THEY DID IT FOR THE SAME PRICE!!!
Save yourself the headache and call somebody else. I would mention the name of who I used but I do not want to give Geek Squad a reason to delete this post.

I went there one time to get my graphics card replaced with a newer one, when I bought the pc home i realized the front USBs no longer worked and brought it back. The clerk claimed my mother board was dying and needed to be replaced, which of course meant the power supply needed to be replaced as well. When I came back a week later to claim it I noticed he didnt even mention the USB ports, just the motherboard/power so i asked and he gave me a blank look. I made him plug it up and prove the ports were working as he claimed and of course they werent, he the revealed the new graphics card was blocking the cable for the ports so they couldnt be hooked back up. Meaning the whole motherboard excuse was a lie and he went strait for the most expensive fix without even checking first. The manager refused to admit this of course. So yeah: never giving them a dime again.
