Unfortunately I didn’t find out until I got home (I live an hour away). I called Apple and they remedied the problem ASAP (which I should have done from the beginning).

They cleaned the dust out but did nothing about the keyboard. Upon receiving the laptop I noticed that my 200+gb of data that was supposed to be backed up was no where to be found. Turns out that the geek squad somehow put someone else’s data on my laptop. Now I have a laptop loaded with pictures of people I’ve never met.
