Edit: The nightmare continues. I finally got the phone but he refused to take my phone that day, as he said we should take advantage of the 30 days to complete the trade just to make sure we got all the info off the old phone. He also suggested that we turn the phone into a corporate store. Fast forward to today, and the trade in credit requires changing plans, which is something I asked about both visits and I was assured that a plan change was not required.
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a backordered phone in-store for in-store delivery on January 3. John stated that he would call when it arrived, and no worries, he would be very persistent in letting me know it was in when it arrives in approximately 2 weeks. Two weeks passed with no communication, so I logged into my Verizon account to see that the phone was actually delivered the week before, on January 9 and signed for by G.Guillott. No one had ever called from the store. Fearing the phone being returned to inventory due to not picking it up, I called to let them know that I would be on the way, but my husband and I both had the flu. I could not get through to the store after multiple attempts, being thwarted by a customer service agent who claims to try to ring the store. Fast forward to this weekend, and we have the ice apocalypse, so no one's going anywhere! Here it is Monday morning, and I'm trying to reach the store to make sure this phone was not returned to inventory, as I do not wish to make a 6 hour round-trip journey just to find out the phone is no longer available. After trying to call again, and getting nowhere with customer service, I have been on a chat with Verizon for over an hour. This whole situation is ridiculous, and could have been easily resolved weeks ago by 1) the store actually calling like John said he would or 2) being able to talk to someone in the store for 2 minutes. Verizon and this store do not value my time or my business. For some reason I have a feeling that this will end with me being charged a restocking fee for a phone that I'll never actually get.
