I was 7minutes late for a Geek Squad appointment because of traffic. The female constantly told me that I didn't have an appointment with them at all. I told her that her screen was showing clients after 5pm. Her schedule TV screen displayed 2:47 pm and her up coming customers. However she wanted to insist that I was 15 minutes late and then it took her another 3 minutes to get to the name my appointment was under on her TV screen having trouble getting the screen to move in the right direction. Then she rounded it off to 15 minutes. Not considering I had to wait for another 3 minutes for her to come from behind the curtain because they have no bell to alert them that a customer is there at the counter. I had already informed the gentleman that I had made my schedule with that I needed help in picking out the correct external DVD maker so that I could make what I needed for my business and church. That I needed them to show me how to use the device properly. I informed the lady that I also needed to purchase the Coral Word Perfect software and have it installed on my laptop. The lady acted like she didn't know what that software was and asked me if I had the software already. I informed her that I needed her to help me pick it out at the store. She appeared distracted not listening to me and stating that she was already far behind what she had to do. Her being far behind was not my fault. As a customer, am I supposed to be concerned about her being behind because she didn't manage her paid time well. She was working I was paying. So, if she was already behind before I got there then she should have made time to meet my needs as a customer instead of deciding to refuse my time of help needed due to her lack of time management. Her being already behind as she stated means I would have had to sit there and wait on her while she finished with the customer sitting at the counter. I was willing to wait, however, she used my 7 minutes late and her lack of planning to inform me that she could change my appointment to another day because they are only allowed a 20 minute span to help a customer even with an appointment. Meaning she was personally canceling helping me so that she could attempt to get back on track which she was not only canceling me but more cancelations were coming.
This is unacceptable practice in so many ways. Best Buy needs to get employees that are considerate of it's customers and business people's time.
I now have to either find another Geek squad in Memphis,TN, go to another computer shop, or wait until I can get back to Illinois to have the work done. My brother and I have a membership with Best Buy. I feel I need to have a sit down talk with him.
If this is how Best Buy treats its members where do non-members stand? Change is needed.

They stole from me and tried to SCAM me.
My pc would not boot and i did not have time to deal with it. So i had my girlfriend just take it to them. After they had my PC for 2 business days they give us a call and tell us the GPU is messed up and if i gave them $300 they could fix it. (on top of the $190 i already gave them)
I stated that the part was under warranty and i could just pick it up and RMA it for another. And then out of no where they say “well there could be an issue with the ram too”. When right before they tell me it’s just $300 and i can have it fixed… Lol
i get there and now all of a sudden it’s not the GPU anymore and they say the CPU is fried from too much thermal paste ??? which isn’t possible btw. lol.
At this point it seems fishy so i just get the PC and check it out myself. I start to put it back together and realize they KEPT MY POWER SUPPLY CABLE AND THE MOUNTING BRACKET FOR MY COOLER FANS…….
I finally get it back together and the CPU was not fried and it booted right up after i reseated everything.
So not only did geek squad southaven lie and say my CPU was fried they also stole important parts from me. I wonder how many people just cough up the money for parts they say are messed up when they aren’t really messed up. This is 100% a scam they run regularly where they just get the okie dokie and steal peoples working parts and money.

I was 2nd in a line of maybe 3 customers at geek squad counter in Southaven MS BestBuy on Sunday morning just after 11am. when they open for business. The woman behind counter listening to the first customer in line looked up at the two of us still waiting in line and yelled that she was busy all day and didn't have time to for us.
