My dog had her first visit yesterday. The ladies at the front are TERRIBLE about explaining how the care plan works and ETA on appointments. We were told first visit free and it wasn't. Was told the visit would be 30 minutes and it ended up taking over an hour. They only took 50 off our first visit. And the vaccinations and testing was way more than it should have been. Dr Scott was very sweet and answered all my questions and the vet tech that assisted me was nice too.

I'm very impressed. Our two pups just started a couple months ago and they were loving on the vet and the techs. We like the whole office very professional and very compassionate towards our babies.

To preface this I have a Shiba Inu, a dog breed that doesn't trust easily and can be reactive/difficult depending on how they are approached. Our experience ran with VCA ran from 2019-2021. Initial visits were good. Vets took their time and as a result the dog wasn't reactive. After COVID the quality of service dropped significantly. Visits felt rushed and as a result my dog became more reactive requiring a muzzle for vaccinations. Our last visit was the tipping point. Dr. Garoutte either didn't hear me or ignored me when I asked about a bump on my dog's side. We switched vets after moving to Republic. The new vet checked out the bump, diagnosed the dog with cancer after testing and removed the tumor. My dog's vet visit anxiety has reduced though we are still working through the reactivity with vaccinations. I can't speak to current quality of service, however based on previous experiences, if you have a difficult breed or individual animal I would look elsewhere.

The manager for the location is very helpful, I didn't catch her name. But she saw to the concerns I previously had. The VCA is honestly great for making an affordable payment system for clients via care club.
