Terrible customer experience. No assistance from employees who just walked by. When I requested assistance, I was told someone was on the way. 15 mins later… no one. After another unmet request for assistance, I decided to take my happy self to the Apple store instead. As much as I love to buy gear, gadgets and technology, Best Buy is a far cry from what it once was and I will not be back.

Guy kind screwed me into getting the best buy membership saying it would give me benefits but only then did I realize I would get benefits not on that purchase but in others. I rarely shop at best buy. Guy knew what he was doing and was kinda misleading. Luckily I just got a free refund online.

Purchased $160 worth of ink, realized it was the wrong series after getting home. Tried to exchange for the correct ones and was told they couldn’t. Asked to speak to a manager and got the, “he’s not available for 45 minutes”. Best Buy lost a 30 year customer for life. Horrible customer service and non caring. Emailed corporate, of course no response either. Worst customer service!

Havent had issues with best buy until just now. I was trying to sell my used keyboard to this location after talking with customer service. They said it wouldnt be an issue for a trade in store credit. When i made the 30 minute trip I was told that since I hadnt bought the keyboard through best buy, I couldnt do it? Im just confused because I was able to trade in an ipad just two years ago with no issues, even though it wasnt purchased through bestbuy. Now unless policy changed, I dont understand why my trade in was invalid, even the customer service agent said it would be okay. Im more frustrated than anything.

Nothing against this PHYSICAL location. Moreso for Meil, the guy you speak to when calling in. Apparently, Best Buy doesn’t want you talking to their in store employees, (as if they get enough traffic to warrant not answering the phone) they want you speaking to someone not in the store, doesn’t know for sure if what you’re looking for is there and doesn’t adhere to a supervisor.
He was dismissive, aloof and most of all, patristic. I don’t know how many times you need to repeat the same thing. It feels like he was reciting lines from a script. Also, this doesn’t make sense that Meil, adheres to and can’t transfer a customer to, a manager. If I have a bad interaction or if Meil decides to slack off or curse at someone on a recorded call, who is to hold him accountable? Troubling times.
This corporation literally will funnel you to an AI (which now lets me talk to a human, so thanks) and then, funnel you to someone OUTSIDE OF THE LOCATION.
The whole point of putting a location on a plot as a brick and mortar is to get people in. But you guys would rather people buy online and get things shipped. Maybe I like walking in the store to enjoy a face to face interaction.
MAYBE your consumers would like to speak with a human. Yes it is not as efficient, but it will boost your CLV.
Today I had a huge problem with my experience with Meil. He just wanted me off the phone, he treated me like a number, rather than a person and makes me question whether or not I want to continue shopping with Best Buy.
