    Best Buy lost a customer today. I called the Oakdale store to ask a simple question. I got stuck in a never ending loop with the AI chat voice who couldn’t understand I wanted to talk to a real person to ask if you still accept checks from customers. The item I wanted to buy is the same price at Best Buy and Amazon. I thought I would give my business to Best Buy, a Minnesota company, but I’m going to buy from Amazon since I can’t speak to anyone at your store to see if you do electronic checks like Menards does. Your AI chat system cuts in and out and is probably costing you a lot of customers.

    Had a switch game preordered. Come to find out on launch day about 5 minutes before I'm about to drive up to get it at this store, it gets delayed. The store is almost a 30 minute drive. It was confirmed right before I was about to make the drive. I got the game at Walmart instead. Also shame on you for your AI "assistant" system who can't even transfer you to a real human until you tell it so. On top of not being able to talk to someone at this store and transferring me to someone in Australia who couldn't answer any of my questions but "There was a stock/vendor issue". What a total joke. Edit: Yeah it said it was ready to be picked up, then it switched a few minutes later to it being "delayed". Give me a break. Don't blame me for your store's stocking problems and then block people from calling you directly.

    Yesterday they had a sign that they didn’t have Pokemon cards and I saw the employees sold Pokemon cards to their friends or coworkers? The employees stated to me that it was “pick up.” There should be plenty of pokemon products because most of the Best Buy’s had but 30 to 50 prismatic bundles but it seems like the employees sold most of them to their people? I got lucky and got one because an employee put it on the shelf around 529 pm. The cashier acted like she didn’t know and stated when did it get there? I have proof that I bought in the store as shown on my receipt. Please check yours cameras, inventory, and transactions of who bought all the Pokemon cards there?

    Management prevents customers from buying Pokemon products and then sells it to their employees who buy it all out and most likely just resell it. One person was able to buy the cards on the restock date proving they had invlook at the photo below for evidence I Waited 3 hours in line for a restock after a manager said comeback today when they had full inventory yesterday and prevented people from buying the cards however magically today the Pokemon products were all gone as the most likely story is that the manager prevents customers from buying the product and then only allows the employees to purchase the product or a third party very unethical and blatantly against their own company policy very suspicios.

    I wanted to share a recent experience I had at this Oakdale, MN store on March 12th at approximately 5:32 PM. Unfortunately, the interaction left me quite disappointed. The store was not busy at the time, there was no line, and I actually waited for the employee to finish his conversation with a coworker before approaching the counter. Once his coworker walked away, he began ringing me up. However, even then, there was no greeting, acknowledgment, or basic customer interaction whatsoever. During the transaction, he had previously been quite animated and engaged while speaking with his coworker, which made the contrast even more noticeable. When it came to assisting me, I received no eye contact, no response to my greeting (which I initiated), and no “thank you” at the end of the purchase. It genuinely felt as though I was an interruption rather than a customer. I made an effort to be friendly and polite, but that effort was not reciprocated at all. The lack of basic customer service left me feeling overlooked and unvalued. With the level of competition in retail today, I believe it is especially important for Best Buy to prioritize in-store customer experience. Unfortunately, this visit reinforced a pattern I’ve noticed specifically at the Oakdale location, where the service has consistently felt below expectations. Because of this experience, I am disappointed to say that I will not be returning to this particular store. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve customer service moving forward.
