  My baby, an 8 year red golden retriever, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2026. From the moment brought him in that day, the staff and his doctor were AMAZING. Then it came time to make a very difficult decision and again, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my dog and I, were lovingly taken care of, comfortable and had as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. VCA’s stellar kindness stepped in again when I received a sympathy card, signed with a note from all the staff. Two weeks later, I stopped by to pick up his ashes and they took the time to ask how everyone was healing. 🥰 I couldn’t have asked or wanted more than they provided. I highly recommend VCA in Chanhassen. They understand pets and their owners. . ❤️🐶

  I really like this vet office, the staff have always been very kind, and they are also very affordable compared to most vets and up front about costs. I love how they usually offer a new patient discount as well, it has made it so that I was even able to get my kitty care, as I wouldn't have had enough for such an unexpected expense otherwise, so thank you.

  Dr. Doug Allen has been an exceptional veterinarian for our family including the care of 6 dogs to date.   He is extremely knowledgeable and consistently takes a genuine, personal interest in our dog’s health and our concerns. His guidance is always clear, thoughtful, and rooted in deep expertise, which has given us complete confidence in the care he provides. We trust him wholeheartedly and are grateful to have such a dedicated professional supporting our pet’s well‑being. I would highly recommend Dr. Allen and the entire staff at VCA. Chanhassen Clinic

  Staff is friendly but the Dr is “snarky” and condescending. I don’t recommend this Vet & others I’ve talked to have had tough experiences with VCA.
