I didn't have the password to this old (more than 10 years old) phone and I was told I needed it and to go to the Apple store. The Apple store said they would need to do a reset and would need about a week. In the meantime, the store cancelled my trade-in!!!! So my promo was put in jeopardy. It said I could still trade in, but "click here". I clicked and apparently my promo was gone because the amount was not the same (not nearly the same). I had to get on the phone for an hour at home with Verizon customer service to fix it. They can absolutely take my phone without the password. They didn't understand why the store wouldn't take it. I'll say now what I said to the customer service rep on the phone....I will never go to a Verizon store again, not when I end up back on the phone with Verizon to fix the issue anyway.

Three phone calls to the corporate help line and they can't even figure out a way to call the local store. Receive an email at 7:35 p.m. saying our order was ready, and then a second email at 9:27 p.m. on the same evening saying our order was cancelled because it wasn't picked up. No way to call them to figure out what they messed up and if our phone is even there. Also, make sure to read prior reviews. They like to respond to any negative review saying they wish they could do better, but it doesn't seem like they make any changes. Avoid this store if possible.
