14 day return policy is the biggest joke I have ever heard. Not sure why they have Geek Squad because all they due is ship their Tvs to Chicago while you wait, and wait. Merchandise that is under warranty should be replace on the spot, not shipped out for months. They should at.least give you a free loaner like the car dealerships. I was helped by store mangager CT, no customer service skills at all and he is the store manger. I wouldn't trust him to manager the Snack Bar at the local Skating Rink, let alone Best Buy. YiKES!
I will never shop here again and tell all my friends . Just a poorly run company that Corporate needs to pay a visit. Just terrible.
Best Buy will respond to this like they do everyone else and nothing get resolved. JUST A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had done an online research for free recycling of flat screen TVs and Best buy came up more than once. I went to the store and asked how to go about the process of recycling it when the associate at the front informed me that it was a $30 charge, but that they would be giving me a $30 gift card to essentially pay me back. I'm glad he made me aware of this before bringing my television into the store. I was not interested in receiving a $30 gift card for my $30 cash, so I took the TV elsewhere in the Grand Rapids area to be recycled for free.

My 75-year-old parents purchased a modem from Best Buy. Due to unsafe winter road conditions and negative 20 wind chill temp the last 2 weeks, they were unable to leave the house to return it.
On 1/30/26, when they went to return the item 18 days after delivery (only 3 days past Best Buy’s return policy) the store manager, Mason, refused the return. The only option offered was to pay $50 for a paid membership to “extend” the return window.
Somehow, paying $50 suddenly makes an $80 item returnable. That tells you this isn’t about a return policy — it’s about monetizing returns. The policy is rigid until money is involved, then it instantly becomes flexible.
This was not customer service, especially for elderly customers during winter conditions. It was a cash grab.
We will not be doing business with Best Buy again, and I would strongly caution others before shopping at a store that requires paying extra just to return an item.
