Went into the store to cancel my Verizon home internet service. They gave me this sheet and said I can only cancel by calling the number. They circled the number. When I called, the person couldn't help me because it was a number for Total Wireless. I understand the companies are connected, but evidently they don't have their shit together. So how are customers supposed to cancel? I guess that's the game.

I recently switched from AT&T to Verizon, and Joelle made the entire process absolutely seamless even though we ran into several roadblocks on my end. She went above and beyond with troubleshooting, problem solving, and keeping me updated every step of the way.
What really stood out was her patience, professionalism, and personality. We ended up spending nearly two hours working through some AT&T issues, and she made the time fly by with easy, genuine conversation that never felt forced.
Joelle is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel confident in every decision. And for her sales managers, she even had me considering getting phone insurance, which says a lot because I’m usually not easily convinced to add extras.

I ordered my phone online to pick up in the store. I went into the store a few hours later because I never received an updated email/text that my device was ready for pick up. When I arrived the sales rep did not review my account and went to talk to his manager. He walked to the back room and returned to tell me my device was being bagged up. How was my order being bagged up and the rep never verified my ID or accessed my account? I feel I was discriminated against for multiple reasons. I observed two other African American people being told the same thing. Their accounts were never accessed and identification was not required. The system was down if they had an online order. The manager had glasses and grey/black hair color. I observed him pick and choose who was going to be serviced while I was waiting. Several minutes later the representative returned and explained the online system was down and I would need to come back because they could not process my order. I was confused because he said my order was being bagged at first. So I asked could my order be canceled and reprocessed in the store. He explained that the device I had ordered was reserved for my order, it was the last device of 512gb pro, and would not be available to be repurchased until after 12am. I agreed to wait a few minutes in hope the system would work again. About 15 minutes later he came back and said the system was still down. As I sat there observing other patrons serviced, my account was never accessed on purpose. They did not want a survey to generate for me to expose my experience. The rep told me to come back tomorrow and try again. I asked for my order to be canceled. It was canceled in the store but not online and I did not receive my refund. I had to contact customer service to have the transaction reversed and refunded. Now I have to wait 3-5 business days to reorder my device. The manager never acknowledged my issue. The rep kept going back and forth to his manager to get answers to my questions. The manager was well aware of the situation taking place and never came by to make an attempt to smooth things over or provide any reassurance. He was not busy either. I had a horrible experience and I will not be returning to the Warren location. Verizon do better and add empathetic training for your employees. I did nothing wrong besides enter into a store where no one cared about the inconvenience caused to me.
