    I had an exceptionally pleasant experience shopping for a new laptop and mouse for my daughter. Donny was, without question, one of the most knowledgeable and personable sales associates I’ve ever encountered. He struck that rare balance; genuinely friendly without being pushy, incredibly well-informed without being overwhelming, and patient enough to make the entire process feel easy. Donny went out of his way to be helpful and thorough, and it was clear he truly cared about making sure we found the right fit. He's an absolute standout!

    I had a very frustrating experience at the Best Buy location. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher online for around $1,500, and the total included a power cord with a junction box “just in case.” It turns out I didn’t need that part, and I later saw the exact same component sold in-store for about $30. When I went in to return it, the staff refused to help. Even though I had proof of purchase for the dishwasher, the manager said they couldn’t issue any store credit because I didn’t have a separate receipt for the part. That didn’t make sense, since the cost was clearly bundled into my original purchase. The lack of flexibility and unwillingness to work with a customer—especially after a large purchase—was disappointing. I wasn’t asking for cash back, just a reasonable store credit for an unused item they sell themselves. Overall, the customer service felt rigid and dismissive. After spending that much money, I expected a lot better.

    Went to Best Buy and was greeted by a gentleman who asked what I was looking for. Told him an iPad. He told the area of the store to go to and called on his device for someone to meet us in the area. We waited 20 minutes- no one ever showed up. Saw one lone employee helping a customer in the TV department. So we left. The next day I attempted to call the store to speak to a manager but I got an AI voice. Requested a real person who told me there was no way to speak with a manager at the store but I could file a complaint on line. What a joke! I told the employee to forget it and I would purchase on Amazon. Purchased and it was delivered two days later- now that is customer service! I guess why go to a store where you expect personal service and get none- might as well just order line. Bye Best Buy.

    I’m not one to write reviews, and I’ve never had an issue with the Utica location of Best Buy—until what I witnessed yesterday. While I was in the store, I overheard what appeared to be a young employee directing multiple inappropriate slurs toward an elderly man. It wasn’t just a one-off comment—it was repeated and clearly disrespectful. The situation was uncomfortable to witness, and honestly, upsetting. No customer—especially someone older—should ever be spoken to that way. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable sending elderly family members into this store. I really hope management takes situations like this seriously and ensures all customers are treated with basic respect.

    I purchased a new HP laptop in December 2025 and am also a Geek Squad Member. I had all my information transferred to my new computer. Upon picking up my device, the tech ABBY BOLLEY was there to assist me. She was the best and so knowledgeable and patient on getting everything to run smoothly. But most of all She was able to get my business outlook account to send and accept emails! I have tried for 3 years calling Geek Squad customer techs to resolve this issue and NOBODY could figure it out except for Abby Bolley. Sometimes you have to take your device into the store rather than talking to reps over in India. I give her a 10 star rating!
