- LTlisa thompson2 days ago5.0Today was our first visit here. I called them because my dog had just seen her previous vet for a foot problem, that quickly worsened. When I called her previous vet to let them know, they scheduled her for the following Monday. No antibiotics, nothing. I was worried. The same photos I sent to them, I also sent to my daughter who works in the veterinary field. She suggested that I not wait. Secondary infections can get serious quickly. On a suggestion from a coworker, I brought her to VCA. We left with everything my girl needs to get better! Including a double ear infection. Something that I feel should not have been missed by her previous vet. Animal care is expensive!!! But you are responsible for these beautiful creatures you bring home. I don't mind paying it for proper care! Thank you VCA. Being on your waiting list, I must say how impressed I was with the text messages of available appointments to help accomodate us! She did exams and testing and was very up front and honest about the possibilities of what was happening as well as the cost of the procedures. Unfortunately, we ended up finding out she had cancer. When I went back to put her down, we saw Dr Harris. She was phenomenal. She made me feel reassured that I was doing the right thing. She sat with us and explained things thoroughly and took her time. She treated Ellie so well, even after she was gone. I will never forget her kindness. Thank you!
