Erik at Best Buy is AWESOME!. We went in today at 430pm and we were going in circles looking for a Minecraft game , and he was super busy but I stopped him and asked for help. With a smile he says my pleasure and took the time to help us find what we were looking for . Hopefully someone gives him a that a boy as just can’t find customer service like that anymore . You rock ERIK👍👍👍
Updating my review after attempting to resolve this directly with Best Buy support.
I purchased a refrigerator (open-box, fair condition) after viewing it in person, where it only had minor cosmetic wear that I was comfortable with. I paid for delivery and waited 2 weeks.
Before delivery, I received a call from their team informing me that the unit had been further damaged — including a dented freezer and damaged handle — damage that was not present at the time of purchase.
I declined the delivery due to the new damage. From there, I was given only three options:
Accept the now significantly more damaged unit
Pay more for a different unit
Take a refund
I escalated the issue through customer support and was told that even if the item was damaged after purchase and during delivery, the options would remain the same.
Let that sink in — even if they damage the product after you buy it, you’re still expected to either accept it, pay more, or walk away.
This is not a case of being unhappy with an open-box item. I saw and accepted the original condition in person. The issue is that the condition changed after the sale due to handling, and no fair resolution was offered.
Overall:
Poor handling of product
Long delay with no accountability
Policies prioritized over basic fairness
Very disappointing experience. I expected better when purchasing a major appliance.
Tried calling the store to ask a question that requires speaking to a living human, instead, I spoke to an AI bot pretending to be a person. I'm not interested in supporting a system that won't employ REAL HUMANS in the name of profit, so I insisted to be connected to a person. The bot consistently denied my request and then hung up on me. What kind of service is this? Why should this store even exist in Jackson if they refuse to hire real people? We're having a labor crisis in this country, and these companies can't even let us speak to somebody. Lost my business. I'm telling all of my community how awful this company is to deal with and to not shop here. More business will be lost, and that's great--because maybe a company with real humans working it can take Best Buy's place.
Don't shop at Best Buy or any store that won't employ real humans. Nobody likes talking to an AI pretending to be a human. It's disgusting.

I went there looking for ca security camera that I saw on line. A salesman see me and asked if I needed help. He was very nice and showed me their cameras and I showed him was I was looking at. He explained differences and then ordered to two camera deal I had on line. Had it shipped to my house the next day. It came and I had time to set it up before vacation.
Extremely disappointed in this store. I sent my son into the store to pickup a pair of earphones I ordered online, but he wasn’t allowed in the store. He was told that he was too young to enter without a parent. I’ve sent him into Best Buy in other cities many times and never had an issue. When I went in to find out what was going on, I was first told that they didn’t allow anyone under 13 in the store without an adult. When I told them he is 13, the manager Erik, then changed the age to 18. How do they know how old someone is? I don’t believe this is a Best Buy policy and this store decided to deny my child entry based on his race. I will be reporting this to the state of Michigan as well as Best Buy’s ethics committee, and will not return to store.
