When I first went to the store, I was greeted by Stewart. He was very nice and seemed knowledgeable about services. I told him that I needed a new watch because my watch was old and was dying after about 3-4 hours of wear. He asked if I had a Verizon plan already and I advised yes. I gave him my account information and he looked it up. He said, “you know you can get $200 off the watch if you upgrade your phone.” I emphasized I only needed a watch, my phone is working fine. I also mentioned that I was afraid of upgrading anything with Verizon because I upgraded 2 phone prior and Verizon gave me so many issues and took way too much money out of my account. The only reason I was able to get my money back was because I filed a complaint thru the FCC. He kept talking about an upgrade. Then he went in the back and spoke to someone on the phone (I’m guessing a manager) and I heard him say, (she said she doesn’t want to upgrade because she had problems with Verizon in the past after upgrading). When he came from the back, he then mentions that I could get a free iPad if I upgraded the phone, along with the $200 off the watch. After about 30 minutes, I gave in and said ok. I needed a new iPad anyway for my business. He went thru the process of putting in the upgrade, but the phone I requested was not in store so he had to order it. I was unable to leave with the watch or iPad at that time, I had to wait until the phone came in. When the phone arrived, about a week later, Stewart called me and let me know. I went in to pick it up and and finally get my new watch. While there, he transferred my phone, which took about 2 hours. As he was about to transfer my watch, he says, I have good news and bad news. I’m like “what?” He says that I did not have enough credit on my account to finance the remaining items, (watch and iPad). I tell him, I only needed a watch though, I don’t need this phone. He says, “you’re about to get an $1100 credit for your phone, so once the credit shows up, you’ll be fine.” I asked how long does that take, and he said it should show on Monday (I was in the store Saturday, so he meant it would show up in 2 days). I mentioned to him that he said “it should show up, so he’s not sure”. He said, “oh yes, I’m sure, it takes about 2 days. I said ok, I’m going to call you on Monday to check so I can come get the watch that I walked in here to get. He said ok. On Monday, I called back. He saw the credit and said there was still not enough for me to get the watch. So I said I need my phone back then, because I didn’t need to get a new phone. He then tells me he already shipped my phone out! Now I’m livid! How come you shipped my phone out before my transaction was completed. I asked for a manager, he said the manager was not there at the moment, but he would be back later. I didn’t get a call later, so I called back before the store closed. Stewart advised that the manger actually would not make it back in that day, but he would be back the next day.
