- JPJ PDec 26, 20251.0Word of caution to those that may not know. This is a Verizon franchise location and not a direct Verizon store. They charged me $29.99 for Setup Assistant, I setup and transferred the phone by myself at home, and they also charged me $29.99 for water protection. Both of these charges I was told are non-negotiable, and I had no choice but to pay them. I assumed all Verizon stores were like that but after I left I called another Verizon store, a direct one, and they said they only charged $10 for setup (optional) and the water protection is optional too. I called TCC Verizon back and they said I could return my phone and get the $60 back but I would be charged a $60 restocking fee. Funny how the non-negotiable fees and restocking fees match. My suggestion is buy from a direct Verizon store and not a franchise! Save yourself some money!

I get to the store at 10:45, go up to the door with my husband and most of the lights are off and the door is locked. Knock on the door, no one there. Go back to my car and wait the 15 minutes until 11am. I see 2 other people come and pull on the door and it's still locked. I attempt to go into the store at 11:01. STILL LOCKED AND LIGHTS OFF! I knock loudly, wait for another 3 minutes and leave. I drive 45 minutes to go to the appointment. Finally get someone on the phone. He tells me he was there but in the bathroom with stomach issues. Great. Put a note on the door then. So frustrating.
