I ordered a phone for my son Wednesday at the Pocomoke store, it arrived Monday and we went to pick it up Tuesday. My son paid the taxes and $60 for setup. I thought the $60 was a bit much for getting it set up and I really have never paid a setup fee before. When I looked at my receipt there was a 29.99 setup assistance and there was an additional 29.99 for “Water Protection Membership” . I didn’t ask for any water protection membership. I called the store and spoke with Shawn, the guy who setup the phone, and he said it’s part of the setup fee. I think this is just a gimmick to take people’s money. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Watch your charges people, especially if Shawn waits on you!
