  Buying a new cell phone can be a confusing process for many, especially elderly—updating the operating system f needed, backing up the old phone, downloading, fine-tuning, special offers, billing, getting the right accessories, on and on. Thanks to Chris at Edgewater in Verizon who patiently walked me through it.

  Visited this store to change cable plan after canceling Comcast. There is no orderly sign in plan. You wait for someone to recognize you. The account is in my wife's name and I am listed as a second user—make that second class user. I was sold a Fios plan and set up the tech install appointment. He showed up on time and had some trouble getting the wifi to work properly. In going over the bill he made a comment about how much it was. I didn't realize how much until the first billing for $269 came in! Went on line and was able to cancel Fios and set up YouTube. Price is still way to high from the quote I got from Comcast that included wifi, cable, and mobile. Having been with Verizon for a number of years I opted the stay for now. The new wifi and YouTube combined is more that Comcast and does not include mobile. Tried to work out changes but as a second user some changes cannot be made. The problem with the account in my wife's name and when she passed everything went into her estate which adds another layer of complexity. I was finally appointed her personal representative by the county courts and will be closing the account then opening new in my name. Having these problems on top of the grief of losing her and handling her estate may tip the scale in switching wifi and mobile. Headed to the store for what I hope is one last time armed with personal representative and death certificate. Will shall see how with saga plays out.
