I specifically asked for confirmation that everything would remain the same, and was repeatedly assured by the staff that nothing would be added or altered. To my shock, when I checked my bill afterward, I discovered I had been signed up for a completely new line, a hotspot, and a device protection plan—none of which I authorized or agreed to. To fix this, I had to return the phone, which was frustrating enough. I was told the new line had been cancelled. However, that turned out to be false. I had to go through Verizon support myself to finally cancel the line. This experience was incredibly frustrating and reeks of dishonest sales tactics. Signing customers up for services they explicitly declined is unacceptable and unethical. It’s a clear violation of trust and a poor reflection on Verizon’s standards—especially when the issue isn't corrected honestly or efficiently at the store level. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and questioning whether I can trust this brand moving forward. This was shady, misleading, and absolutely not the kind of business practice customers deserve.
