  Frank and Greg, I want to thank you both. After extensive bleeding of the Capilano Hydraulic System and a Sea Trial, the Garmin V2 Smart Pump continued to produce a loud squeak resonating thru the copper lines of Sea Dweller. Sea Dweller returned to Mid Shore Electronics where Josh unboxed the remanufactured V2 pump that Garmin International shipped me while in Newport, Rhode Island. After Josh installed the pump, performed the bleeding of the Capilano Hydraulic System a second time, the second Sea Trial went well👍😀 For the first time since the delivery of Sea Dweller in January the Auto Pilot was running without producing a loud mechanical squeak during following seas and turns. I expressed concerns with Josh on the relocation of the Shadow Drive solenoid. It’s a great deal of work. Josh called Garmin Technical Support. Garmin confirmed the original location of the Shadow Drive Solenoid at the return line in the lazarette near the Garmin V2 Smart Pump. They seem to agree that it's important to replace the V2 pump and bleed system first. If the Shadow Drive does not improve in performance, move forward with the relocation. After Josh replaced the V2 pump and bleed the steering systems, Shadow Drive was working much better, however the pump began to squeak again resonating thru the copper lines. Air is getting trapped in the return line to the Garmin V2 Smart Pump. I have since discovered that a Garmin V2 Smart Pump return line does not have the required Capilano Hydraulic Steering System rev2 “SeaStar HA5404 Fill and Purge Valve”. This valve was never installed in Lazarette to improve bleeding per Capilano Fill and Purging installation. I'm still working with Kadey Krogen Yachts to resolve this issue. Marino Andreoli with Garmin did recommend Power Bleeder. Although this is a critical service tool for purging air from a hydraulic steering system, Garmin could not provide the tool to Mid-Shore Josh and Joe were wonderful to work with however I wished that Garmin could having provided better support and got Mid-Shore Electronics the Power Bleeder that may have been able to remove trapped air in Garmin V2 Smart Pump return line.
