Not helpful. No suggestions to resolve connectivity after an update caused phone to stop connecting to network(s). Only "resolution" was to buy a new phone or call support, when phone isn't connected to dial out.

Maybe I came in on a bad night but I’m shocked that this location has so many positive reviews about the sales staff. Came in tonight to pick up my wife’s phone we ordered because they called to tell us it was ready. When we walked in two gentleman were sitting at their desks, one with headphones on. No hello, no how are you, no greeting at all. When we let them know we were there to pick up a phone we ordered they acted like we were crazy. When we said they called to tell us it was ready they both looked at each other as if to say “not it”. When the man finally said “I guess I’ll go look” he came back with a phone and asked us to describe it. This entire interaction was beyond unprofessional and definitely not friendly. Once he finally came out with it, I asked him how long we have to trade in the phone and how we go about doing it. Told him we didn’t want the phone activated yet, just wanted to pick it up. He tells us the total will be the taxes which we understand and then told us we have to pay an in store fee of $49.99 to trade the phone in and transfer the data. I told him we didn’t want to transfer the data and asked how they could charge us to trade in a phone when it’s required. He told me the cost of shipping. I asked him if I could just send it out on my own he said yes but you still have to pay for the transfer. At this point I’m in shock. I just told you I don’t want anything transferred, so why would I pay for that? His attitude got worse and he told me “fine just the taxes”. I then asked where to send the phone in which replied “Verizon”. Well golly gee sir thank you for the helpful information. I asked again “Verizon where? Can I take it to another store?” (Mind you I can’t take it here where I bought the phone because they want to charge me $49.99 to send the phone back) His response was, “you can take it to another store but they will charge you $79.99.” Sir… what? Then he said call customer service they will help you. Finally he retails us out for the tax and I ask “how do we activate it?” His response was “turn it on”. Again.. I asked for a delayed activation. All we wanted to do today was pick up the phone. He told me that you can’t do that. This has me even more confused because what happens when you order a phone online? Or you buy it as a Christmas present? This is absolutely something that can be done. Two minutes into the drive home my wife has no service on her phone, the new one still in the sealed box that has not been turned on. We would have bought accessories before leaving but they weren’t even offered. To recap: this store charges you a bogus fee to transfer data, and lies about what it is for. Their customer service doesn’t exist, and if you want something done right unfortunately you might just have to go online and order it. What is the point of a store front if you don’t care to treat your customers with decency and respect.
