  I have been going to VCA on Montgomery Road for years for medical care for my cats. The team is absolutely wonderful. One of my cats had various health challenges throughout his years and they were so supportive, even toward the end when he needed appointments for fluids multiple times a week. The staff and doctors here really are special people and I'm thankful to have a great vet nearby.

  This team has been a cherished member of our extended family for many years. They have helped us ensure the best possible health for multiple dogs and cats. When it was time to say goodbye, they went above and beyond to ensure our pet received the most compassionate care while supporting all of us through out grief. They are always kind and supportive no matter who we see. I would not go anywhere else.

  I took Luna, our 1 1/2 year old Boston Terrier to be seen for what I thought was an abscess near her butt. As it turned out it was a ruptured anal gland. The Technician and the Dr took very good care of Luna, and even though it was unpleasant what she had to have done, she still gave everyone kisses, and is on a couple of scripts and will return in 2 weeks for a follow up and to give some more kisses. Thank you for taking good care of Ms Luna!

  I called to inquire about getting my 1-year-old cat spayed. I was told they are scheduling about a month out, which is reasonable. What wasn’t reasonable was the complete lack of transparency around pricing—especially given the circumstances I clearly explained. I stressed the urgency of the situation: I have a newborn in the house, and my cat has started spraying. I made it very clear that I’m trying to do the responsible thing as a pet owner by getting my cat spayed instead of doing what many people end up doing—giving the cat up or surrendering it to a shelter. They stated my cat needed to be up to date on vaccines first, which I understand. I asked the cost and was quoted $248.80. I then asked the most basic question imaginable: How much does the spay cost? The representative flat-out refused to give any price. She said they would not provide one until after an exam and bloodwork, which she then said would be another $200. I asked multiple times—if the exam and bloodwork come back normal, what is the cost of the spay? No estimate. No range. No transparency. Just evasive answers and deflection. This is a massive, upscale hospital, and spaying is one of the most routine procedures in veterinary medicine. I understand that complications can exist, but refusing to give any pricing while requiring nearly $450 upfront before even discussing the actual surgery cost feels deceptive and predatory. I would recommend not going here at all unless you’re wealthy and completely comfortable handing over a blank check based on hopes and wishes instead of honest, upfront pricing. This felt less like patient care and more like a bait-and-switch “gotcha” scheme. I will not be using this hospital.

  Understand who these people are.. If you are looking for a veterinarian who can see your pet when it's sick or injured this facility is not that! This is an appointment only service, and they're very expensive.
