Helpful, friendly and considerate on the sad occasion of finding out our dog was ill and having to put down our much loved dog.

We called several places around our area and every place was booked out for months. Our dog, Ruffles, had gotten a cut on his side that required having his bandages changed almost daily. We could not keep going to an emergency place (financially that would have been too much for us) so we were called Lancaster VCA. We have gotten appointments and the greatest care with them. This vet is not local to us but we are willing to travel for the great customer service and care that we receive for our pet. Y’all are great and we appreciate that!

I would like to sincerely give a shout out to Luna, one of the vet assistant there. She was incredibly empathetic and kind to me and comforting during my time there the other day as I lost my pet of 17 years. I always found vca to be reasonable with price compare to other vets.

We have had the absolute best experience here. My husband and I have our first puppy of our own, so this has all been new to us, and the staff, nurses, and doctors have been so helpful with everything. They’re so patient with all my questions, help me through vaccines, prevention meds, and anything else my puppy has needed. They’re also very thorough and knowledgable. Everyone is so kind and it’s clear they love what they do. Milo loves his new friends and I can’t recommend this vet enough!

We've been taking our pug to the Lancaster Animal Hospital for years, to the point I can't even remember how long. Due to the location being close to home we've been going there, but will be changing vets. She is a 14 year old pug with a bladder issue, and she gets UTI's which cause her to be in great pain and pee blood in the house when she can no longer hold it. We all have jobs, but still manage to get her outside at least 3-4 times a day or more. Upon consulting with VCA, they've requested numerous times to perform drawn out procedures and extensive tests (which we've done many times), simply to reach the same conclusion each time. In one case, they performed a test and said they found cancer. We almost arranged for the dog to be put down since she wouldn't survive the surgery at her age. Later on, we "miraculously" found out that it's actually benign... Only after hundreds of dollars have been spent will they dust off the medication that clears up her urine and brings my dog the comfort she deserves. This has been going on for years now, and my family has had enough of it. My dog deserves to live the last few years (if that) of her life in comfort and happiness, and I'm afraid that won't be possible under the care of the condescending, price gouging team over at the Lancaster Animal Hospital. Think twice before taking your animal here if you love them like family as I do.
