I haven’t used Best Buy in a long time and was recently reminded why I stopped shopping there. I wish I read all of the reviews first, but I did not,... so that’s on me. I ordered an Apple TV device online to be here by December 24. Check out process was fine. Unknown to me at the time, apparently Best Buy uses DoorDash to deliver the merchandise to their customers. I received text messages from DoorDash telling me that the item was on its way to me as planned. A few short moments later, I received another message that the item was being returned back to the depot. There was a link in the text with a phone number that I called. I was told that the Dasher had car trouble and was unable to complete the delivery and that the merchandise would be delivered the following day. Christmas. (read other reviews about not having a tipping option) A very long story, shortened, it did not arrive on the next day or even the next day. I called Best Buy to cancel the order, and was told by the automated AI system, that it was too late for the order to be canceled and that it was out for delivery. Of course this was not the case. Since this item was a gift, I ended up driving to Walmart to purchase the same item, picked it up the same day and gave it to the recipient. I called DoorDash again and told them not to deliver the item and to cancel the order. The live person told me that they would attempt to deliver 3 times, then it would be returned to Best Buy. I told them not to deliver. They told me that they had to. Well, of course there is no one in-between Best Buy and DoorDash to assist. They ended up leaving it at my garage door on December 30. DoorDash actually changed MY delivery instructions on my order!! to read; Leave at garage door. From MY instructions; DO NOT DELIVER. ORDER CANCELLED. Now I have to complete the Best Buy return process on-line and either drive it to Best Buy (fastest method they point out) or to a FedEx drop off location. Best Buy states; This method could take weeks for your order to be refunded. Outstanding... So I went ahead and disputed the charge with my CapitalOne Visa card. The funds were immediately returned to my account while this plays out. Extremely frustrating experience, especially with DoorDash injected as well. Do yourself a favor and look to see who will be delivering your online merchandise when you’re ordering from Best Buy or anywhere. Or you'll be dealing with 2 questionable businesses on your own. Very Disappointing.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. You buy something and have a problem, you go to the store because customer service sends you there, and they tell you they can't help because it's a third party's responsibility. It feels like being scammed.

The wait time for assistance especially when they gave more than enough staff is ridiculous. I honestly wouldn't be surprised at the significant number of customers that were probably lost that day. I went with my disabled grandfather who was left standing there for about fifteen, almost twenty minutes. His back was in intensifying pain, and that was just waiting for someone to assist us with the cell phones. You had 3 sets of 3 employees with 1 customer all chilling at the computers when they could be assisting the customers they are there to assist in the first place! This day and age in the work places especially are absolutely ridiculous when it comes to professionalism and customer service.

I bought a TV last night and they offered me a credit card. I said no, but she said it wouldn't be a hard inquiry on my credit report so I said ok. Then she said it would be a yearly fee to have the card so I said no thanks. It turns out it actually was a hard inquiry on my credit report, and when I called and asked for a manager, they refused to let me speak to one. And "Christian" had such a smug attitude as he told me "no" as if he found it funny that I wasn't allowed to speak to a manager. So I will be filing a report to the consumer financial protection bureau after I speak to their corporate office tomorrow. I will not be doing business with this company in the future.

I ordered my item online and had my receipt, yet the manager was extremely unhelpful. He refused to ask another employee for help, stating that he was “the highest” and implying he could not learn from someone in a lower position. This was frustrating because when I called after leaving, another employee, (I think was her name), easily helped me by explaining where to find my Best Buy number on an online order. That was something the manager could have resolved by simply asking someone. I was also helped by another employee with red hair who was very kind. Yoly and the red-haired employee both deserve 5 stars for their customer service. Unfortunately, Best Buy as a whole does not. I do not understand why management is allowed to be so uninformed or unwilling to help. To make matters worse, I was told I could only receive a return without receipt for less than the item’s value, despite purchasing it just a couple of days ago. I had no clear guidance on what to do with the information I did have. The manager, Joe or John, seemed aggravated and uninterested in being at work, which made the entire experience worse. I will never return to this store. Very unhelpful overall, despite a couple of employees who truly tried to help.
