  12/22 – TV purchased from Best Buy. Geek Squad installation initially scheduled for 12/26. 12/23 – I rescheduled installation appointment to 12/27. 12/27 (9:00 AM–1:00 PM window) – Waited for scheduled installation. In the afternoon, received a last-minute cancellation notice from Geek Squad. 12/27 – Contacted Best Buy customer service. Installation rescheduled for 01/02. I was also promised a manager call-back, told I was “2nd in the queue,” and should receive a call within one hour. No call was received. 01/02 – Informed by Geek Squad that the installation needed to be rescheduled again, this time to Monday, 01/05. 01/05 – Contacted customer service again. The representative stated that the items required for installation would not be available until 01/15, causing further delay. I was again promised a store manager call-back, which never occurred. 01/15 – Geek Squad arrived for installation. The technicians stated that the purchase order only included “basic TV mounting.” However, the Best Buy representative who sold the TV and services in person at the Dedham location explicitly stated that wire hiding was included. The technicians indicated they did not have the tools to perform wire hiding and could only mount the TV with exposed cords. I was instructed to contact Best Buy to schedule a follow-up appointment for wire hiding. 01/15 – Contacted Geek Squad customer service again. A third request was submitted for a call-back from the Dedham store manager...TBC

  I was unable to schedule an appointment online due to problems with my LT and phone service was unavailable. I took a chance and walked in and the Geek rep took care of me and fixed the issue on the spot. A big stress relief! I'll be using their services again.
