- JLJoanie Latauskas1 day ago1.0Russell cellular in Danvers, Massachusetts swindled my elderly mother-in-law into purchasing an iPhone 17 when all she wanted was a basic phone for calls. She does not even text, never mind utilize the internet. Their “manager” lied to my face and told me she asked for an iPhone when my mother in law does not even know what that is. We were able to return the phone, yet 2 weeks letter she received a bill from Verizon for the monthly bill, as they didn’t cancel her service. Shame on the employees at Russell cellular for scamming an elderly woman! A complaint has been filed with the attorney general. I did email the owner when this occurred with no response! Buyer beware!
- IMIan McLeodDec 21, 20251.0I had gone in on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, there was one other car in the parking lot, so I figured I would not be wasting time. I had just had eye surgery and I could not see. I went because bixby was not working on my phone, and was looking for some assistance. The person at the door saw it was not working and yelled to the other associate do you know how to fix this, he said no. The associate I was speaking with told me to Google it. I can see a bit better now and thats why I am writing this, I have have had Verizon for around 18 years, and after this experience I am not sure how much longer I will stay with Verizon. I understand an associate not knowing everything about every phone, but even just saying to come back another day would have been better than just check Google.

The self service activation wouldn't work and after 5 calls to Verizon Customer Support & Tech Support totaling 10+ hours of time, VZ was not able to transfer my e-sim. I took 1 last shot and stopped by the Danvers store. The store manager, Jesse, was happy to help and had my phone transferred and activated in less the 10 minutes. I can't say enough about the great experience I had with Jesse's help. Employees like Jesse are what restore confidence in a company, even after the awful experience I had with the on line process. I learned my lesson & will be doing all my family's future VZ business at Jesse's store in Danvers!
