I've been bringing my cats (I'm now on #6) to Arlington VCA. I've had 99% a good time. From the front desk, vet techs and the vets themselves. December this year my cat who had been fighting cancer for the last 3 years was not in a good place. They were able to fit us in for an emergency visit, gave us advice and after a week of meds and special attention at home, the symptoms were worsening. It was his time and the vet gave me an appointment same day and gave us space and time to say goodbye. I always feel welcomed when I come for visits (which is more frequent than I'd like but necessary), my cats are remembered and cared for. Thank you for the care and service you provide!

When I was finding it very hard to find answers and help for my sick cat, one of the technicians, Emma, reached out after over hearing my phone call and provided me with a lot of guidance over the phone. I wasn’t even a client so she didn’t have to do this. I am so grateful the technicians take the time to be compassionate and understanding. These people are doing great work.

I have been going to VCA City Cats for over 5 years and my partner has been coming for almost a decade. I trust every doctor in this practice implicitly. I have gone to each one and had amazing experiences. Dr Nannig helped me get my elderly cat to age 18 and she was helped to the very last second. It was a beautiful ending and not a sad one because I knew she was being loved by each tech and Dr Nannig. Dr Leavey I now go to for my two older boy rescue cats and she is so thorough with their extensive medical history that it’s refreshing when she has a game plan for them. One is currently dealing with cancer and they have helped us each step of the way. He’s stopped being so sick, gaining weight, and his zest for life has returned at the age of 15. For my ragdoll kitten I go to Dr Palopoli and she’s great with her as a lively ball of energy. The reception desk each and every girl there is helpful and go above and beyond when caring for all their patients. The compassion and understanding when you visit is always there. I really appreciate their text line that if I have a question that can wait they can ask a doctor when they get a chance. Whenever I need them they are there for me and my kitties. They love them just as their own truly.

I have been going to VCA City Cats with my cat Bear since I adopted her at age 17 in 2021. Now, Bear is 22 years old and visits City Cats nearly every month for old-age care. I wouldn't trust any other vet with taking care of my precious cargo! Dr Leavey is unmatched and makes my husband and I feel so listened to and valued during our appointments. She and the rest of the techs are excellent with Bear, even though she can get a bit feisty if we don't give her gabapentin! Dr Leavey is always sensitive to both my budget and Bear's specific health needs when recommending interventions for Bear. For example, each appointment we discuss things like X-rays and evaluate how I feel about doing that with such an old cat. It makes us feel involved and heard! To top it off, the front desk team at City Cats is phenomenal. From the moment my family walks in, we are treated like family. It's been so great to get to know the entire team and I have recommended both friends and family to bring their cats to City Cats. Best kitty vet in metro Boston!
