  Called in with 1 question. Sat on hold for 20 minutes. And then this Dan fellow hangs up on me mid question. Back in my day the customer was always right. Now they are not even listened to. I will be taking my business elsewhere

  A while back we had one laptop that had died so we brought it to Geek squad, they said it was a bad hard drive and what it would cost to fix it, well The labor cost was close to The price of getting their Totaltech membership for a year. Totaltech says they will work on any of your electronics for a year it’s about $200 a year if I remember right. All labor is covered but you pay for any parts. Well they fixed the first laptop but we had to go in like 5 times before it was done. The real issue is you cannot talk to anyone at the store about what is going on, all calls got to some other part of the planet. They tell you it’s ready to pick up when it isn’t fixed and you won’t know until you get there. Even the calls to the local number for geek squad are rerouted. I brought in another and the guy tells me the hard drive is bad and he doesn’t think it could be fixed. Well I start searching online, there is a company Crcial that can tell you what hard drives will work and other upgrades they have available. It also gives you the software to do it. Bought a hard drive it took longer to get here then they said, but it came I used the software and installed it. It is working like a new computer. I have never opened a computer before. They need to allow you to talk to Someone who actually worked on your computer or is at that store. I am going to try to get my money back from them. Bestbuy sells the hard drive I used.
