  I called to make an appt with the Geek Squad to get a replacement charger for my Toshiba laptop. There are no chairs and you stand in line waiting for your appt time. I arrived 10 min early and stood & waited then an additional 15 miutes more after my appt time while the 2 techs finished helping the previous customers. I showed the tech my laptop & I was told where to find the power cords in the store. I was assisted by a sales person there. I took the cord back to the Geek Squad tech and he said that he had one like just that in the back that he would try out before I purchased the new one. I wasted 45 min of my day and my gas & left empty handed. their advice was to try to find one online that "might" fit because Toshiba doesn't make them any more. I later found the name of the company that continues to make replacement power cords for Toshiba on my own. Google was more help than Geek Squad!

  Geek Squad at this location got my laptop restored and back to me in like 27 hours; big deal for this PhD student/undergraduate instructor. Impossibly fast turnaround, polite and reassuring service, and they even put my background and screensaver back. Amazing!

  I purchased an HP All-In-One desktop computer from Best Buy in Metairie this week (my first All-in-One). I took it to their Geek Squad along with my old Dell pc to have the data and files transferred. A young man in the Geek Squad department, Yong, helped me. He took the time to set it up for me in the store and showed me how to operate several things, explained things I was unfamiliar with and answered all my questions. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me download a couple of programs that I needed to set up on the new pc. Excellent customer service, which I greatly appreciated! Had he not helped me at the store, I would not have figured out some things once I got home and set it up. Btw, the price was reasonable and I’m enjoying my new pc. Thanks again to Yong!!!
