Best Buy is a wonderful company. I’ve had nothing but great experiences everywhere except this particular store in Hammond, LA. It’s devoid of customer service. If you look something up online and purchase it and pick it up for a curbside pick up or an online order, then maybe I would use them.
I went into exchange a CD slot phone holder. It cost me $20. They wouldn’t exchange it because it’s a few days past the deadline and they suggested I contact the manufacture for warranty. I told them I was actually looking to exchange for another one and they said it didn’t matter that I had missed the deadline. So basically when it comes to the store you’re dealing with NPC‘s.
I told them to just throw it in the garbage. I explained they shouldn’t have had it on the shelf in the first place. It doesn’t work. Best Buy actually offers a different model from the same company that’s less expensive and works. They were unwilling to help me source one that works, and they were unwilling to exchange.
My recommendation is to avoid this particular store. It appears poorly managed and the employees appear to need more training on customer service. Until they do that, it would be advisable to just go to find other Best Buy stores.
