- AMAlissa MichelleAug 28, 20251.0Verizon is scamming people with the buy out rebate, Among other rebates. I switched from AT&T to Verizon with the agreement of paying off my balance with AT&T. I have fought with the rebate department & have gone in person with the response it'll have to be resent in 7 to 10 days. The email never arrives, but the 1st email to confirm the process came to the email. But Verizon quickly took my AT&T phone with a credit of $800.00 that was applied no where on my account. I have filed a complaint with the FCC. I will be contacting a lawyer that deals in consumer law. Do not fall for the lies. I am coming across several people that I know that were scammed also. I hope Verizon loses all their business.
