Customer service was terrible. I tried to call the corporate office and they were useless. I will never shop at Best Buy again. Too many other better options.

Done with Best Buy. They stopped do competitor price matching. Also recent purchase priced dropped at Best Buy, initiated price matching for that product via chat and it never went through. I have a $50 rewards certificate that the website won’t let me use.

I used to love this store, but the recent geek squad visit cost me a lot of time and money.
Recently took my wife’s phone to geek squad to get the screen replaced within warranty. There’s a slight black discoloration from impact (anyone with a broken screen knows this happens) and this woman working behind the counter in GeekSquad told me they would not replace the screen due to water damage. We even mentioned that there was no water damage to this phone, as it’s never been in or near water and that the discoloration was just due to the impact, but we were told that was wrong and that there’s definitely water damage. Mind you, they ran 0 diagnostics in store. They just looked at it and refused to fix it.
Annoyingly, we went to the south shore at the actual Apple Store itself. They ran a diagnostic test in the phone: big surprise, 0 water damage. We felt like we were being gaslit into having to buy a new phone. 2 customers behind me with phone issues also walked out. I think it was a mix of laziness and desire to drive up repair/replacement prices. It’s a shame as I have been a long time Best Buy customer. I will not be going to this location any longer unfortunately.
I believe our visit to Best Buy was on or around December 8, 2025.

Something has happened to Best Buy and it's not good. I don't think it's one store. I think it's company-wide. Actual Geek Squad help is a thing of the past. Yes, there's a number to call, but if I ever make it through the frustrating automated phone tree and talk to a human being, I can't understand the agent because he/she has a thick accent. I'm not complaining about people in other countries doing their best to do a job, I'm complaining that Best Buy has out-sourced these jobs to people whose English is very difficult to understand and even worse, the agents don't seem to be able to tell me anything! They don't know anything! They can't answer any questions, because they don't have any answers from Best Buy. It's insane. We can no longer phone the local stores for help because Best Buy has discontinued that and taken away employee phones. The only way we've been able to get anything sorted out is by going into the store and going through a time-consuming process to fix whatever the problem is - and there have been many.
We bought 4 new appliances at the beginning of September. Two were defective. One has been replaced. The other, a dishwasher, they wanted to pick up a month before delivering the replacement. The first dishwasher, while defective, does work, so we don't want them to take it away before the new one is delivered. It's now December.
The dishwasher delivery and pickup were scheduled for today. I watched the tracking of the truck from Baton Rouge, Louisiana across to Mandeville. The delivery times changed from 2:01pm to 2:15pm. Then finally to 24 minutes! Yay! He was going to be here soon. 2:15 came and went. When I checked the tracking again, it said "Completed"! Um, no! Not completed! Not delivered. The automated phone system told me I had no deliveries scheduled for today, and yet online it still showed that the dishwasher delivery was scheduled for today. Then suddenly, underneath, it said "We canceled your order for this item on ... today's date." But at the top of the page it was still showing that the delivery was scheduled for today. Huh??? What??? No one in the overseas call center can tell me why or what happened, but offered to reschedule. Why was it canceled? Where is the dishwasher? Did the driver just decide he didn't want to make anymore deliveries today?
My husband has gone down to the Best Buy where we bought these appliances to try to find out what's going on. Just know that this is just the latest of a string of problems we've had since buying these appliances.
I've now been waiting over an hour to chat online with Best Buy Customer Service.
Bottom line, Best Buy ain't what it used to be. Don't. Just don't. It's too bad there aren't any small appliance stores where we can get good service. We're stuck with big box stores. I thought Best Buy was the best of the bunch. I guess I was wrong.
Update: The owner wants me to reach out to Best Buy on one of the social media platforms. The problem is that I don't have anything to do with social media. Not with a ten foot pole. No Twitter, no Facebook, no Instagram. I don't have an account with any of them. No how, no way. So I guess no reaching out, either.
The sadder thing is that I didn't want to leave this bad review. I don't even think this turn of events is the fault of the local store. Their employees are great. They've tried to help. I think Best Buy corporate decision-making has ham-strung local stores and their employees. I suspect they are demoralized by these changes. No employee has expressed this to me, but I know I would be if I were in their shoes.
