Apple Doesn't Repair It's Own Products! I called this store's phone number on Saturday, November 15, 2025 to inquire about a repair for a 7th Generation iPod Classic. My call never reached the store; it was rerouted offshore to a call center where an appointment was scheduled for today, Saturday, November 22,2025. I asked the phone representative if Apple would call or text me if they do not repair iPod Classics. He said, yes. I arrive at the Apple store at the Mall of Louisiana and I am informed that Apple no longer repairs iPods. No one ever called to inform me of this before I arrived at the store. I wasted my time and effort going to the store to no avail. Apple sold an estimated 450 million iPods that they no longer service. This is CRAZY! There are so many problems with this. Why sell products you don't want to fix? How can a company be allowed to create planned obsolescence? What if Ford or Toyota cars but didn't repair them? Not only does Apple not repair their products after the planned obsolescence, the products cannot be easily repaired by the individual owner. Please, what benefit occurred by sealing the battery inside of iPods, iPads, iPhones, and iMacs? Apple's goal is for you, the consumer, to buy unneeded, unrefined, and irreparable (after a period of time) products each year. This is planned obsolescence and it should be illegal!

Went in to get my phone repaired. Left the store without realizing I received a brand new phone, they did not tell me it was new. So now I don't have service for it? Do they not check to make sure before they give back devices? This is awful.

I came here this morning to purchase an iPad Air. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, except for the employee who assisted me. She seemed unwilling to help, avoided eye contact, and responded in a dismissive way. When I asked to replace a shopping bag that appeared dusty, she questioned me with, “Dust?” in an unfriendly tone. I was planning to buy an iPhone 17 today as well, but after that interaction, I didn’t feel like making another purchase. However, I would like to mention that the store manager and the other staff members were very kind and professional.

Told me it would be 40 minuetes to get my phone fixed and then I came back and they quoted me 2 hours and 10 minuetes when I had work. I wasted gas money and I have never had to make an appointment and it take more than an hour for a simple screen repair.

I went into the store on 10/3/25 to get a phone repaired and was told I needed a replacement phone and that it would be a few days before I would receive it. Because I get a surplus of emails daily and my phone does not allow “spam” phone calls (Verizon) I called to check the status of my order the following Wednesday. I was told then that my replacement was not there yet and to wait. Here I am again going on week two and now being told that the phone is on back order. I should have been told that when the phone was ordered through the store. This is not the first time I have had this issue with this store. This has happened a few months ago, but due to me traveling with my job I let this issue slip, this time I’m not! I have spoken with a senior advisor at Apple support named Jolie who was able to help me and ease my troubles. The ONLY person to seem to know what good customer service is. I recommend using Apple support for issues vs going into the Apple Store in Baton Rouge. Seems like a lot of people running around who knows nothing, just trying to make commission. I guess my issue wasn’t commission for anyone there so it wasn’t taken seriously. However I’m a paying customer, nothing is given to me for free from Apple.
