I went in on 1/4/26 because I saw I could get a new I phone 16 pro for $14 a month because we have been with Verizon for 33 years. They ended up having to order my phone because it was not in stock. They charged me a $60 set up fee even though they never set up my phone because they ordered it. Then I checked my Verizon account and they had me paying $28 a month for the phone even though they said I would be paying $14. Thankfully today on 1/5/26 I was able to cancel everything through Verizon and get a refund. DO NOT trust these grease balls
- JEJessica ErpenbeckDec 29, 20251.0We were blindsided earlier this month when a salesperson quoted us in writing that if we upgraded our phones while adding a watch to our plan our bill would be $118. He also promised there would be no issue transferring our Disney + that we have through Verizon. As soon as we left the store we realized the Disney + no longer worked. We contacted Disney and they informed us that Verizon cancelled our account the day we upgraded. I requested a call from a manager. After four business days a manager from the store called me, acknowledged that our bill is over $60 more that what his salesman quoted us at but condescendingly told us “it still seems like a good deal to him”. He said maybe the $118 we were give is writing was a “miscommunication”. He also suggested we just cancel the $10 a month Disney + through Verizon and pay more through Disney. The manager took no accountability for the salespersons lies and seemed to blame us( the customer) and Disney for his salespersons blatant lies. We were also charged $246 for a phone trade in that we were assured was free. We have spoke with corporate Verizon representatives to fix what they can of the mess made of our account during this upgrade. We have since visited a corporate store where we were told never to deal with the non franchised stores, particularly this Newport plaza location. Let our nightmare of an experience guide you to go elsewhere for your Verizon needs.
