  I went in with my cat that was struggling to breathe and I was crying and asking them to please help her and they told me they do not do that there and said I would need to go down the street to the hospital to have her seen. She ended up passing away in my arms while talking with the staff in the waiting room. I told the lady I did not need to go down the street because she was gone and she felt her and said “yes, she is gone” and she did not say anything and took her out of my arms and told me to follow the other lady back to a private room. I had no idea why and I was alone and crying uncontrollably because my cat had just passed unexpectedly. I get back to the room and the lady asks for my information and then said “you should have gotten a text with instructions to pay. We got you a discounted rate of $92 for your visit. Once that is paid we will bring her to you and you will be good to go” I just wanted my cat and wanted to leave to grieve and figure out the next steps for burial/cremation. I paid because they said I had to and I was in not state of mind to even argue or grasp what was happening. I knew it did not seem right but I was lost and heartbroken. I feel they took advantage of me while I was processing what just happened and grieving my cat, all alone. I cannot imagine being that heartless to watch someone begging for help and telling them “we can’t help but give us your money” we never even seen an exam room. They also assured me that she did pass in my arms in the waiting room (which we had established before they even took her from me without asking) I never signed anything or gave permission to do anything to my cat which I don’t believe they did anything considering she was gone already. I’m really disappointed at how I was treated at such a vulnerable time. I do not recommend anyone take their pet here if their only concern is money. 😔 I also was not given any papers or receipt or anything showing what I was charged for. Just a text telling me how to pay.

  This place doesn’t even deserve one star. My friends cat died in her arms in waiting room. This place was asking for payment while the cat was struggling to breathe. Then when cat had passed in my friends arms. They then took the cat in back and informed my friend that the cat had died. ( the cat had passed away in waiting room in my friends arms) so she was aware the cat passed. Gave her a bill and said she needed to pay it to get her cats remains. Very unprofessional. Do not recommend this place.

  Adopted our sweet kitten from Indyhumane and took advantage of the coupon that was provided to us. The office staff was very kind from start to finish, including explaining the coupon benefits. Our kitten unfortunately, had a little upper respiratory infection and needed medication, which was fully covered. I’m big on reading reviews and almost didn’t come here because of others’ poor experiences. I’m happy that I did as we live so close. The staff and Dr Jarrell were wonderful, including following up with me via VCA app after our appt. I’m pleased so far!

  On one of the most traumatic days of my life, I had to call the vet to have my dogs put down for severe aggression and repeatedly attacking and landing my other dog in the hospital after essentially ripping him apart in my back yard. While he was undergoing surgery today, I contacted this animal hospital where I was met with zero empathy. I love my dogs and this is one of the hardest decisions my family has ever had to make. The person that answered was rude, lacked empathy, and acted like I was bothering her by calling. If you don’t have kind emotions towards people dealing with trauma with their pets you should never work in an animal hospital or with people who have pets and you should also never hire people like this.

  They are super ableist. Next ready to accept phone calls. Allways putting you on hold and acting like their short staff is your problem. For me, and I guess I have high expectations if they tell me I'm going to be transfered to the front desk to checkout I expect that someone is prepared to pick up that transfer unless a warning of there is a line.
