This hospital is always closed for an emergency vet and the next ones are in Indy and Louisville essentially. Any time you would need an er vet, they are closed. They close at 8pm on the weekends and are off 2 days a week as if emergencies don't happen at any other times. This place being closed had been the reason one of my dogs previously died on the way to a different ER vet instead of being able to go somewhere closer and not let them suffer. Now years later I need an ER vet again and they are closed. This place is useless and is never there when you need them.

Staff is extremely cold and acts like you're a bother just for walking in. Definitely seems like they prioritize dogs over cats and staff is not trained on compassion during emergencies.

Tonight I had to unfortunately, visit this place after my beloved Cow decided to be in the dryer & I wasn’t present enough to realize . Beneath my snotty nose, swollen eyes, rapid breath I was told that Cow, 4 yr old healthy tortoise wasn’t as bad as they’d seen… & maybe she’d make it… & if she were to make it, I would have 2 pay 2k $ b4 I was even able leave … 2k just for tonight … 180$ was everything I had & that’s what it cost to bring her home… I was obviously not doing well w this . Crying sobbing . Not controlling myself… Staff was inconsiderate, never even bothered to say NOT ONE of them that they were sorry… there was actually 1 man that handled in & out billing type Info that said he was sorry , the females … not 1 of them did… if anything it felt not good energy as I’m sitting there waiting to put my daughter & myself best friend to sleep… Bc I just dried her…. In result killed her… They also have this light in the waiting room where myself & a few in & out were sitting … “When this lanterns lit someone’s loosing their best friend “ They never THEY NEVER LIT IT… I’m sorry Cow :(

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Tell me how an EMERGENCY VET CENTER turned away my sisters cat and allowed it to die? She brought her cat in with limp back legs, a shaking head, it was lethargic, pale gums, etc.. How does your staff asses an animal in that manner and continue to reassure a concerned pet parent that their cat is fine and send them on their way just for that animal to die? You assessed the animal over the counter to avoid liability, excused the pale gums as dehydration, the legs as broke, the shaking head as something beyond your scope of practice - and then told my sister to take her to Princeton Animal Hospital in the morning for the 'broken leg'. Except now she's dead. Your staff clearly are lacking in basic compassion and understanding of the level of care for emergency animal situations. They kept insisting that the surgery behind the counter was more important and would take more time insinuating that my sisters cat wasn't even worth a basic level assessment for an obvious neurological issue so she could know the next steps of care and what to do for her animal. You guys are awful. Your 6-12 from 02/13/2026 should be spoken to on how to do their job because clearly they're complacent on that shift.
