    I went twice the past week and a half for 2 separate issues/concerns. Long story short: Apple users, do not waste your time here. Details below. Instead, do one of 2 options: (1) contact Apple customer service by phone have them talk you through resolving the issue yourself (I couldn’t find instructions online for resetting my specific model/software so I called Apple. The Apple representative was helpful and it took 15-20 minutes on the phone and in total ~1.5h for the old MacBook to factory reset. Geek Squad said they would need to hold it overnight plus charge $99 for the service (this fee costs more than the trade-in value for the laptop lol)). I left Geek Squad and by calling Apple, I saved money & time. or (2) go to Apple Store. They are much more experienced and offer better solutions. Make sure to set up a reservation beforehand, sometimes they accept walk-ins depending on the issue. I went to Geek Squad the other day again (shame on me, but sadly the Apple Store is a little far). Basically I left without a solution, wasted my time again, and still had a faulty charger. They do not do replacements here. A trip to the Apple Store or free replacement/return shipping from them is the way to go. I will never be returning to Geek Squad again lol lesson learned. Side note: the first time I went to Geek Squad (as a walk-in, I was turned away and given attitude bc apparently they only do reservations. Apple (via chat) told me that I could just walk in so I was confused. The next time I went to Geek Squad though, I heard someone say that they do allow walk-ins. So to the team/management: please be clear, transparent, and consistent with your policies. If you are being selective on whether you accept walk-ins or not, it is frustrating for the client.     I can’t say enough good things about Ashley at Geek Squad. She was so caring and understanding when I came in with my tech issue. She treated me with respect and kindness, and I truly appreciate the extra effort she put into helping me.👀

    Needed a battery replaced on my iPhone. Scheduled through the iPhone settings for Gurnee Best Buy. Showed up early for my appointment and was told since it’s a 6:20pm appointment, I would need to leave my phone until the next day after 12pm…for a battery replacement. The lady working said they close at 9pm..but my appointment was at 6:20pm. So it takes roughly 24 hours to replace an iPhone battery. Right. Complete waste of time. No wonder why no one shops at Best Buy anymore. Place was a ghost town. To be further clear, there was no communication beforehand about it taking 24 hours to replace an iPhone battery.
