Dishonest, Misleading, and Cost Me Hundreds
I came into this Verizon store to do something simple: upgrade my phone and trade in my old one for the ~$800 value offered with the Ultimate Ultimate plan. Instead, the staff convinced me to downgrade to the Ultimate Plus plan because they said it would be cheaper and still give me the same trade-in value.
What actually happened was the complete opposite.
They only gave me $630 for the trade-in, not the $800 I was expecting. On top of that, they added a $10/month international plan I never asked for (I mentioned wanting that in two years, not now) and a $20/month phone protection plan I also never agreed to. Both of these were slipped in without explanation or permission.
We bought a phone valued at $830 and paid $200 in taxes upfront, and somehow our bill still doubled the next month. I now have to undo everything myself to get back to my original plan, and we’re out roughly $400 because of their so-called “cheaper” changes.
This store either doesn’t know what they’re doing or they’re intentionally misleading customers. Either way, I’ll never come back. Avoid this location if you don’t want to be overcharged or tricked into add-ons you didn’t ask for.

This Verizon location is by far my favorite with superior service and exceedingly friendly staff. Doesn’t matter if you go for a phone purchase or just to replace a screen saver, you get the same great service each time. Kenneth was outstanding today, as always. Service with a smile and friendliness. Can’t ask for more.

Juan at the Verizon store in Andersonville is one of the best people I’ve ever met. Kind, patient, smart, and forever helpful! He’s just an overall good guy. If you’re looking to buy a phone or change carriers, I encourage you to stop by the Andersonville Verizon store, and ask for Juan. He’s awesome!

Kenneth was SO helpful today! We had a tricky situation with a lost phone/new phone setup and not only did he patiently work with me to set up my new phone, but he also gave great tips on how to protect my device in the future. Highly recommend!

On one visit they removed the phone protection plan on my lines when changing physical sim to eSIM . I got automatic notification email about it soon after I left the store but they denied making a change.
Mistakes happen but disappointed they wouldn’t take the time to triple check when I notified them about it.
Second time they sold me on their 5G home internet plan. I told them I would only consider if it can match my current 1GB ISP. They said they could but when I got home I found out the max speed is 300MB. I felt cheated. Why not just share facts at beginning so I could make an informed decision.
Most people visiting the store are not tech savvy and I think they seem to be taking advantage of it. I am annoyed enough that I’m now considering just switching over to T-Mobile instead.
