I've had verizon service for 10 years. In fall of 2025, I was scammed into a promo called "BYOD". The Chicago State street store did not tell me that in order to use this promotion and get a new phone, I would need to open a "ghost line" which is a 2nd unused line I am now being charged for. I learned this after walking in to the Wicker Park location. I have the name of my sales person at the State Street store, and Verizon can contact me if they want to make this right (I've already worked with Verizon customer service over the phone to remove the unused line). I don't blame the salesperson-maybe they weren't trained correctly to provide all the terms and conditions of their promos. I blame the PREDATORY practices of this company. Verizon needs to do better. If you are offering a deal or promotion, print out a SIMPLE tabulation of the costs and add ons, and be transparent. Don't tell me to look at the Verizon app for my bill estimate when the estimate isn't even accurate. Don't play games with me after 10 years.

Isabella, the manager needs to be fired asap!
I told Isabella that I've been having trouble for the past 2 months with Verizon. Verizon never activated my phone. Verizon never sent me a new phone to activate. Three different Verizon managers did not want to deal with this issue and hung up on me.
When I explained this to this so-called manager, Isabella's response was more attitude. She had no sympathy. She was defensive. I told her I would rather have someone else work with me to resolve this problem and she said no one was available. I said I would wait and she got pissed so she kicked me out of the store and told the security guard to remove me.
This is unacceptable behavior and Isabella needs to understand she is there to help customers not make their lives more difficult. She needs to be fired asap!
