I went there to trade in my old phone for the new iPhone. Malik walked me through the process and made it completely painless. He showed me how to backup and transfer my data, as well as wipe my old phone before trade in. Great service!

My wife and I visited this store because we needed help canceling some lines on our family account. We tried to do this with the online app and one month later after being assured that the lines were canceled we received a bill including all the lines that we had tried to cancel. We decided it was time for a trip to a corporate store. We went to the Verizon store on State Street and met with an incredibly patient and thorough representative named Xavier. He spent nearly 90 minutes with us going over each single line and contacting the corporate office to make sure that everything was canceled. Needless to say it wasn’t easy but he persevered and could not have been more professional and patient during the entire process. It was an extraordinary example of genuine concern for the customer. What also impressed me is that there were three other agents working in the same store and all seemed to have the same positive and constructive attitude toward their customers. So kudos to the people that work there and special recognition for Xavier who I would specifically ask for if anyone needs to make an appointment at that store.

I had a great experience at this store! The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. Not only were they able to help me find a new phone but also helped me use a promotion to get it for basically free. They were able to help me set it up as well. After witnessing the employees interactions with other customers as well I can confirm they are all amazing employees who deserve recognition! Shoutout to Devin, Malik, and Fernando

Wow it is interesting to see I am not the only one who had issues with Isabella...Her lack of professionalism is enough to make me leave Verizon. I have been a customer before Verizon came into existence (35 years). I came into the Verizon store 36 S State Street store last week after having a terrible experience with the same store of August of last year but I thought I would let what happened over the summer be a thing of the past and let bygones be bygones. I came to the store to purchase a high end tablet from Samsung and pay for it outright. After waiting 10 minutes for assistance in the store which had more employees than customers in the store (all of the employees were in the back and not on the sales floor) a Verizon associate came from the back and asked if I needed assistance I informed the associate that I was interested in purchasing a 14 inch tablet...the associate went to the back and within a few minutes said that they did not have the tablet I was looking for. So I asked if they could look up a store where the tablet may be available and I was told I can call customer service. I asked why should I call customer service if I am already in the store? So the associate explained that customer service would know and she led me to a phone and placed a call for me. So while I was waiting for customer service to pick up I think I had been waiting about 10 minutes in the store for customer service to pick up...Isabella came over my way and asked if I needed help....I explained to her that I am interested in purchasing a tablet but her store doesn't have the tablet I want so I am waiting on customer service to assist me in finding a location. So Isabella tried to look up the tablet that I wanted to purchase I had mentioned to her the bad experience I had in the past with poor service in the store and for some reason she was not trying to hear it and abruptly walked away and said she is not helping me. When customer service came to the phone I complained to him about the not so good experience that I was having at the store and the customer service person asked me if I could give him the name of the person who wouldn't assist me so I asked the associate who walked away from me her name and she said her name is Isabella and then the customer service person wanted the store number and asked Isabella for the store number she told me she would not give me the store number and then she told me to leave the store...I did everything I could to keep my composure and politely walked out. After that experience I decided I will never do business with Verizon again. I never felt so humiliated to be kicked out of a store out of vindictiveness for reporting her to customer service. So for those thinking about shopping at the Verizon store on 36 S. Wabash.. .think twice...this is not a friendly store that cares about customers...please note you will wait a long time for help, when help arrives they don't seem like they want to help and apparently I am not the only customer who has been mistreated by Isabella...hopefully things shape up but that store has a lot of problems and oh yeah I will be reporting my experience to corporate

I visited this Verizon store for two reasons: 1. To get my lines merged (an issue I have already contacted Verizon support about multiple times), and 2. To return my home internet equipment, which was clearly confirmed in an official Verizon email after speaking with customer support. Unfortunately, neither issue was resolved. The staff refused to help with line merging and dismissed the return, saying “this does not look like a Verizon email” and “we don’t know what that is,” despite the email being from Verizon Wireless and confirming the return was booked. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was kept waiting for 20 minutes, only for another staff member to come out instead. The manager never showed up. No explanation, no follow-up, and no attempt to resolve the situation. The experience felt dismissive and extremely unhelpful, especially after already spending time coordinating with Verizon support beforehand. This store showed poor communication, lack of accountability, and no customer escalation process. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location if you need actual issue resolution rather than being sent away without help.
